International musical label is looking for a Head of Marketing.

 

Main purpose of job:
To be the business leader for the Marketing team and managing senior relationships internally and externally. Responsible for managing all marketing related activities, developing and nurturing a team to deliver marketing and promotional strategies which achieve the goals of our company and artists.
Drive planning through the team and ensure all activity is founded on audience insight, creativity, innovation and strong collaborative relationships with internal teams, the Artist and their management.
Ultimate accountability for performance, delivery and development of the Marketing team.

 

Main responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Use market and industry knowledge to develop and manage the overall marketing strategy to maximise the potential for all artists, including traditional, online and supporting artist management and broader rights areas of the business
  • Allocate work to the team and budget accordingly, ensuring the most effective marketing spend whilst driving focus within the team on reaching promotional, online, chart and sales targets for each artist
  • Work closely with colleagues in A&R and commercial teams to forecast sales for artists, developing a priority structure on the release schedule and which acts are key breakthroughs for the company
  • Liaise with the A&R team to make sure local artists are provided with the best marketing support
  • Work alongside Commercial and Services functions to ensure tools represent the artist, suit market need, support and strengthen retail strategies and relationships
  • Adopt best practice approach to innovation in the business whether it be digital formats, content creation or scheduling of product, always driven by consumer needs and audience insight
  • Build strong analytical expertise within the company which will provide with deep consumer insight
  • Represent the Russian Office at senior level in meetings across the business and at industry events, deputise for the Managing Director as appropriate
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns to feedback on the success to the company and for future planning
  • Lead and motivate the team through effective and timely reviews, objective setting, development programmes and regular feedback

 

Person Specification:

Qualifications/ Education:

  • Higher degree from a recognizable University
  • Formal Marketing study

Experience:

  • Solid marketing and promotion experience (Radio, TV, Music, Media, Youth Culture, Advertising Agencies or Brands)
  • Understanding of the market and changes within digital sphere, use of social media etc.
  • Proven experience of delivering creative and cost effective integrated traditional and online strategy through application of audience insight
  • P&L management and business planning process
  • Demonstrated complex problem solving, decision making and the organisational skills to manage and prioritise varied workload
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly build credible working relationships at all levels of the company
  • Coaching others to understand and embrace the changing environment and digital landscape
  • Experience successfully driving collaborative working and managing conflicting points of view
