Database platform Fluence Labs is looking for a Head of Marketing.

 

Fluence Labs is working on new decentralized network protocols to make the internet more open and secure.
Primary project is Fluence, a peer-to-peer application platform which allows the creation of applications free of proprietary cloud providers or centralized APIs. Fluence provides a peer-to-peer development stack so that you can program p2p applications, workflows, and compose services, APIs without relying on centralized intermediaries. Fluence serves as an open runtime for internet applications; the new alternative to proprietary platforms, and APIs.
Company is looking for a marketing lead who can keep Fluence in the Web 3 zeitgeist. Educating about, communicating, and celebrating Fluence will be a key driver of success, and company is excited to grow capabilities in product marketing, developer outreach, and ecosystem growth. Company is targeting a range of audiences, many of which are technical, and doesn’t use paid target advertising. You will join the team of highly passionate individuals that work closely with the open source community to enable internet innovation via p2p technology.

 

What you will do:

  • Communicate Fluence’s value proposition to users, whether they are coming from Web 3 or Web 2
  • Collect and share the knowledge about the Fluence development, features, ecosystem, partnerships, internally and publicly
  • Plan and execute campaigns (no target ads) that drive awareness and adoption on an ongoing basis
  • Establish marketing goals, KPIs, and track actual performance
  • Lead the production of marketing materials
  • Talk daily to users, be an expert in the competition landscape, and advocate for Fluence and projects using it
  • Iterate on the messaging, narrative, and talking points for Fluence

 

What company is looking for:

  • Perfect in-person and written communicator: you can synthesize complex technology and concepts into product communication for a broad audience including developers, media, non-technical users, and industry experts
  • Impressive product marketing and communications work experience, preferably in cloud computing, SaaS, open source
  • Experience in growing tech products from the ground up in product-driven teams and organizations
  • Being crypto-native and up-to-date with latest developments in the space
  • Being self-starter focused on outcomes

Bonus points:

  • Experience with blockchain technology and Web 3
  • Experience with PR, media, tech reporting
  • Background in software engineering
  • Experience in participating in DAOs
  • A healthy level of craziness
