Ascensia Diabetes Care is a global specialist diabetes care company, dedicated to helping people living with diabetes. The company is looking for a Head of Marketing (Russia).

 

Position Purpose:

The Head of Marketing Russia is responsible for the strategic and operational marketing in Russia, by defining and implementing the marketing strategy in Russia, to ensure the development of short- and long-term marketing objectives in line with the regional / global marketing objectives. The main purpose is to implement best-in-class activation plans and management of marketing mix that drive the achievement of business objectives with regards customer satisfaction, sales and country margin as well as growth objectives as stated in the 5-year plan.

As a member of EMEA-LATAM Hub Marketing as well as ADC Russia Leadership Team, this position participates in the formulation and implementation of optimal go-to-market strategy in the country, management of ongoing relationships with local partners and acts as key interface between ADC Russia, EMEA-LATAM Hub Marketing as well as global Ascensia colleagues.

 

Major Tasks And Responsibilities Of Position:
Develop & implement short & long-range strategic marketing plans and budgets for marketing to meet the needs of a varied customer base & increase market penetration & profitability. Manage annual marketing activities, programs, projects and P&I budgets allocated to ensure best possible implementation and ROI for Russia.
Provide strategic direction to the product portfolio, branding, positioning and pricing, and in conjunction with Country Manager and the sales teams, oversee the preparation, implementation, executional excellence and review of marketing and promotional programs in accordance with global and regional strategic objectives. Monitors / analyses the effectiveness of marketing activities and make adjustments.
Lead the reapplication of global marketing assets to fit the Russian consumers and PWDs, HCPs, customers to drive market share and sales growth, build brand equity and engagement.
Identify & develop new or existing business opportunities based on insights, evaluate market segments & potential customers to expand market share. Build positive relationships & maintain contact with key customers.
Lead, mentor / develop marketing team members and foster a cohesive team spirit. Evaluate the capability of teams and identify development needs.
Partner with country & regional Digital Manager to devise a plan for digital marketing strategy and identify opportunities to drive marketing platforms for the product category including Ecommerce Expansion.
Support the sales organization to develop and implement successful trade marketing programs. Collaborate closely with the region to develop marketing programs which align with the regional segment strategies.
Drive commercial partnerships with digital health partners, building acquisition of new users, driving testing frequency and retention of existing users.
Develops measures of sales simulation (both active — through a system of discounts, incentives, etc., and passive — through the quality and design of goods, image policy. Partner with external agencies to ensure execution of operational marketing programs in scientific domain, digital, media, BTL, ATL, launch campaigns, tracking effectiveness of executed programs against sales timelines and budget.
Adhere to all compliant regulations including LMR regulations across marketing tools and materials for internal and external use. Be in close collaboration partnering with Regional Business Managers and Area Business Managers to drive sales growth and results.

 

Qualifications, Competencies And Skills:
University degree in Marketing / Business as well as Medical background (pharmaceutical education).
10+ years of progressively responsible marketing experience, at least 5 of which should be healthcare in either medical devices, BGM, consumer packaged goods / OTC or Rx marketing experience. The candidate should also have at least 3 years of experience in a management capacity. In addition, field experience of at least 2 years is required.
Proven experience in delivering results through implementation and strong execution of marketing strategies, leading people, focusing on customer needs, and utilizing strong judgment and decision-making.
Strategic skills, analytical and financial acumen and solid business judgment capabilities.
Proactive, results-oriented leader, with demonstrated ability to recognize trends, opportunities and/or threats; facilitate issues and delegate appropriately.
Interpersonal skills are critical since the incumbent is consistently interfacing with all levels of the organization as well as outside partners.
Proven people management skills, including personnel development, to successfully lead a marketing team in a complex, fast-paced environment aimed at achieving strong growth.
Creative and high emotional intelligence.
Diabetes & BGM knowledge as well as Digital Marketing experience is a plus.
Working experience in an local-regional role would be preferable.
Language skills: Fluent in Russian and English.
Able and willing to travel in country and to HQ.
