Main Responsibilities

- Support all legal matters in the Lead Country Russia for the Siemens Industrial Core business including 6 assigned countries
- Manage corporate law matters for Siemens Russia
- Act as the trusted advisor to the business on all legal topics
- Ensure effective legal risk management by addressing legal risks and opportunities and applying a legal and entrepreneurial perspective
- Ensure a handover from the General Counsel Lead Country Russia for the Industrial Core topics and support a smooth carve-out of the GP business in the Lead Country
- Lead and develop a team of legal professionals in the region
- Manage local court cases and define the defense strategy
- Actively support the exchange of legal knowledge within the region, as well as in the global LC community; contribute to the innovation initiatives in the legal function
- Fully integrate into and actively contribute towards the success of the global Legal organization
- Manage the local legal budget, including retention of external counsel when needed
- Report directly to the General Counsel (disciplinary reporting to the CEO Siemens Industrial Core Russia)
Main Qualifications
- Excellent academic record in law and full qualification to practice law in Russia
- At least 10 years of professional experience with different legal positions within Siemens or equal positions in international law firms or legal departments of other big multinational companies
- Knowledge of foreign law systems; expertise in corporate law, antitrust, corporate IP, technology transfer and export controls topics would be beneficial as well
- Experience in managing a legal team or proven leadership potential (reference-based)
- Strong intercultural and communication skills supporting the ability to explain complex legal and contract management matters and complimenting strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Russian language – native speaker or fluent. Fluency in English and ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively within the global Siemens legal team; further languages would beneficial as well (especially German)
