Head of Legal and Compliance for Global Automotive Manufacturing Company in Moscow, Russia
Multinational industrial group, the world’s leading tyre and rubber manufacturer, with sales and manufacturing businesses in Russia seeks to hire a senior Russian lawyer as Head of Legal and Compliance in Central Moscow.
Based in a smart and dynamic office in Central Moscow, your role as Head of Legal & Compliance will focus on the following:
- Providing daily legal support to both the Moscow-based sales business, and the regional manufacturing business;
- Structuring commercial transactions and drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts including customer sales contracts, strategic alliance agreements with retail partners, public tenders, franchise agreements and distribution agreements;
- Providing legal advice on regulatory, privacy, antitrust and advertising/promotional matters;
- Advising on and helping to implement compliance policies across the sales and regional manufacturing business;
- Managing litigation, with support from external law firms;
- Managing a team of 2 lawyers, one senior and one junior;
- Developing legal processes and templates for current and new business and commercial models;
- Acting as a key member of the Executive Management team, and as Secretary to the Regional Board of Directors.
You will report directly to the regional General Counsel based in Europe, and dotted line to the Russia/CIS Regional Managing Director. Monthly regional travel will be required, and international travel once or twice per year.
Minimum Required Qualifications include:
- JD (or equivalent law degree) from a reputable university in Russia;
- From 10 years+ of business law experience, ideally including at least three years of experience in a reputable law firm and three years’ working in an in-house legal department of a global industrial/FMCG corporation;
- Fluent English and significant experience of working for a global employer in Russia is essential;
- Experience of working as lead counsel in drafting and negotiating a variety of significant and complex transactions;
- Previous experience of managing other lawyers, outside legal counsel and budgets is essential;
- Knoweldge of the automotive industry would be a strong advantage;
- Strong communication and diplomacy skills at Executive level, and a pro-active, enthusiastic approach towards team management and legal and compliance policy development required.

Please note that the salary range for this role is from RUR300k — 428k gross per month, plus a 20% target driven bonus.
