Fintech-стартап ищет Head of HR.
The Company:
- The company is an international FinTech scale up registered in the Netherlands, with a corporate HQ based in Amsterdam
- Client has gained proper funding by major international US and German investors
- The company is offering a financial product (banking and documents management) to run SME business
- Client`s distributed team are steadily increasing and for the moment they are over ~ 100 people primarily working in the remote mode. There is a holding company and operations team, customer care and customer success teams based in the Amsterdam office, marketing and product employees are spread across Europe when the software engineering team of about 40 employees is working remotely as well. The three key client markets are Italy, France, Germany. Local country managers are working on the assigned territories in the matrix environment partnering with the central functions

- The company is now expanding both its business and team operations what creates a need for a Head of HR to take over the people function and set the HR agenda aligned with the company growth plans
- Reporting line: Company founders, the role is a member of the management team
Role description:
- Headquartered in the Netherlands, but with employees teams spread around Western and Eastern Europe, are a truly international organization, and are growing fast. Company is looking for a Head of HR to join them in the next steps of scale-up journey. Company is looking for someone that can take responsibility for the development and organization of our tech and business teams
- Most of the company communication and business processes are in the remote working mode being a distributed-first organization
- However It’s still a small team, so you need to be someone who can enjoy digging in and flipping between the day-to-day, managing projects, and creating processes
- You are the voice for the People function and partner to both the business and the people, proactively bringing your ideas and inspiration to the table
Responsibilities:
- Design and improve new and existing processes with a focus on staffing and onboarding
- Introduce KPIs that measure recruitment process efficiency and time frame. Range/revise an existing pool of recruitment providers offering a transparent, metrics driven recruitment process to the management team aligned with their expectations
- Implement onboarding tools in order to help new employees fit into the company processes and adjust to the start up environment smoothly. Make the employee starting months within the company fully transparent to their managers and help the team leaders identify their employees concerns, guiding managers when a team member is struggling to make a proactive impact
- Design and implement people programs (including learning & development, remuneration programs) that meet the needs of our teams and help us develop, retain and grow the best people
- Introduce individual development plans to identify leadership potential of our employees
- Introduce succession planning to retain and promote top performers and make secure and smooth succession across the business functions
- Coach managers to get the best from their teams, which includes discussing their teams’ impact with them annually, and helping them decide how to grow and compensate their teams
- Revise and establish the HR processes specifically for the remote working mode environment
- Building an efficient system and finding communication formats for the distributed teams interaction
- Improve existing business processes and design the new ones that will correspond to the employees motivation and communication and make it more transparent for their leaders
- Increase the team spirit and rise the engagement levels through driving people-related initiatives, providing insightful data to guide decision-making and provide proactive solutions
- Coach, develop and grow the HR team in order to support an employee journey within the organization. Starting it from onboarding and then working across Talent Development and Compensation, implementing various initiatives and tools to increase the employees performance
- Analyze trends and metrics for the employees productivity and work with management and team functions on developing solutions, programs and policies
- Serve as a key expert, point of contact and adviser on local employment practices and compliance
Candidate:
Education:
- Higher education in the area of HR Management/Psychology or other
Experience:
- At least 5 years of work experience as an HR business partner or HR Manager previously responsible for a people headcount of ~ 150+ FTE. Experience in scaling start-ups is preferred, although experience in established companies will also be considered
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-changing environment. Strong skills in anticipating and identifying problems and use of good judgment and fact-based analysis to develop and deliver effective and efficient solutions
- Ability to identify problems and opportunity areas, get alignment on the solutions, and execute the solutions independently
- Ability to build relationships with varied stakeholders, across different countries
- Deep HR knowledge for the European region, with experience working with at least one of the following countries: the Netherlands, Germany, France, or other European location. Familiarity with Dutch labor law and rules and regulations (like arbo/UWV, 30% ruling, residence permit process, employment law, payroll etc) and a strong interest in handling international policies
- Excellent communication skills in English, additional fluency in other European language is an advantage

- Being the first go-to person for any questions from our employees and leaders. You provide practical advice, and you are really interested in the question behind the question. You embrace change, see it as a challenge, and you are able to stay ahead of the game to make sure the quality of the employee experience gets better and better and continuously adapt the HR programs to employee needs and values as we change
- You’re hands-on, but know how to collaborate and prioritise, constantly looking for how things can be done more simply or automated
- You’re excited to try new approaches and do things differently, and aren’t afraid to “build as you go”
- You’re well versed in international labour law, and know how to get answers for the things you don’t know
- You are an expert both in the operational part of HR and have a clear picture of the overall People function growth plan. Having previously run a small HR team
