Functional:
SPIF Production:
- Lead the ESG work stream in the bank’s core B2B products, including green and social loans, sustainability-linked loans, as well as green, social and sustainability bonds, green trade finance products, etc;
- Structure all sustainability-related aspects of SPIF (Sustainable and Positive Impact Finance) loans, including setting the KPIs and designing price adjustment mechanisms;
- Answer to all questions raised by corporate relationship managers and DCM on the origination and on the structuring of sustainable, green or social transaction;
- Follow-up on of the CORP exposure on SPIF loans and TF transactions and on the amount of SPIF bonds issued: report on a regular basis to CORP and CMIB management the outstanding exposure on SPIF loans and trade Finance transactions, as well as the existing nominal amount of SPIF bonds issued;
- Monitoring of use of proceeds in green products or fulfillment by Borrowers of green and social KPIs defined in sustainable transactions.
Policy, Methodology and ESG risk management:
- Develop Rosbank’s ESG strategy (wholesale banking) and regularly monitor and update the roadmap for its implementation;
- Assess and provide expert opinion on ESG performance of corporate clients and eligibility of specific deals to be labelled as social, green, or sustainability-linked;
- Evaluate corporate clients and make decisions regarding potential ESG and reputational risks as part of the bank’s ESRM (Environmental and Social Risk Management) process;
- Monitor and regularly update ESG sector policies governing the bank’s attitude and exposure to the most ESG-sensitive or controversial sectors, including thermal coal, oil and gas, industrial agriculture, nuclear, defense, etc.
Development and Education:
- Act as a focal point for ESG rating agencies, auditors, consultants and other external service providers;
- Contribute to the development of the bank’s Sustainability Report;
- Closely work with the PR and communications teams to build up a strong public profile in terms of the bank’s ESG agenda and achievements and to position it as one of the sustainability leaders;
- Information and training of CORP and CMIB teams: regularly sharing of information on SPIF market developments to other teams. Training of teams on important SPIF matters;
- Work with the in-house IT team on the digitalization and improvement of the bank’s ESRM process.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Sustainability, Economics, Finance, Environmental studies, Life sciences, or other relevant filed;
- At least 10 years of work experience, including at least 3 years in managerial roles;
- Proficient command of English (C2);
- Solid understanding of sustainability agenda, including key topics and issues, international standards, as well as financial products and tools;
- Good team player with strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team, work effectively in and influence a team, and network effectively across Rosbank Departments.
