International online-educational company Refocus is looking for a Head of Community.
Refocus - a fast-growing international online-educational company. Company is already working in the Philippines and Indonesia. At Refocus, students get (really get!) a digital profession and after graduation, they dramatically improve their quality. Company sells educational results and help people get new, cool jobs. Refocus is for those who want to contribute to building an Edtech unicorn in Asia.
Why does company need community:
- Community is one of the key product features at Refocus. Not many edtech companies are focused on building trustful and meaningful relationships with students - and Refocus does
- Students decide to change their life and career, this is a hard decision, so company needs to support and encourage them during the whole period of studies
- Therefore, company is looking for a Head of Community - an expert who is ready to build from scratch and lead the direction of work with the community. The school operates in Southeast Asia, so you need to be prepared for the difference in mentality and the difference in time zones
Requirements:
- A born leader; already led the team and achieved certain results together
- Think strategically and rely on numbers in decision-making
- Know everything about building communities, use metrics for calculating efficiency; for example, you not only know what SLA is but also know how to influence it
- You are constantly pumping as a specialist and are ready to devote even more time to this
Responsibilities:
- To build and develop a community in the SEA region
- Hire people in your team
- Work out effective onboarding and periodic training of the team
- Collaborate closely with other departments and develop the product together with them
