BlaBlaCar is looking for a Head of Communications (Russia).
BlaBlaCar is the world’s leading carpooling platform, created with one dream in mind: leveraging technology to fill the millions of empty seats on the road. Company offers long- and short-distance carpooling as well as a bus marketplace, with the mission to become the go-to marketplace for shared road mobility.
Your Mission:
Company is looking for a Head of Communications to build BlaBlaCar Russia’s corporate communication strategy and lead its successful execution. You will report to the Chief Communications Officer and work with the Paris-based Corporate Communications Manager, and the Russian leadership to define and coordinate the right positioning and messages for the company in Russia.
Your Responsibilities:
- Work with different local and international team members to build a communication strategy that echoes the Russian market’s different needs (business lines objectives, marketing strategy, branding, government relations, etc.)
- Define the relevant communication positioning and deliver its roll-out, balancing the HQ-led guidance, with the specific local needs you will identify with the local leadership
- Build the corporate, B2B, and consumer PR strategy supporting the company’s objectives, as well as the corporate social media strategy
- Manage the PR agency to collect their ideas, optimize distribution, and track results/performance
- Ensure consistency of the communication plan roll out across channels (PR, but also syncing with marketing, customer service, government relations, etc.)
Your Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in communications & PR
- Native level in Russian and fluent in English
- Thorough knowledge of the Russian media landscape (including social media)
- Excellent ability to understand and use business inputs to build a strong PR strategy serving the company’s needs
- Excellent stakeholder management to develop the relationships and processes to source the information needed for a robust communication strategy, and coordinate 360 communication plans
- Creativity self-drive and autonomy
- Unwavering verbal and written communications skills, ability to act as a spokesperson is a plus
- Experience in the tech C2C platform is a plus
