А fast-paced start-up company STRYDE that is disrupting the seismic technology space has opened its doors for a Head of Business Development (Russia and former CIS).

 

The Head of Business Development is deeply interested in shaping the long-term success of STRYDE.

You will hit the ground running, promoting STRYDE systems, negotiating deals and thrive in a fast-paced start-up company that is disrupting the seismic technology space. We are looking for an ambitious self-starter who has good connections to operators and contractors in the Region’s seismic industry and knows how to be both commercially orientated and customer focused. STRYDE has big goals of developing key strategic relationships with key acquisition contractors and operators across the world, however there are equally opportunities to research and expand into completely new markets – so a desire to learn and step out of your comfort zone is essential.

 

Responsibilities:

Identify the client base and build client profiles to help define, develop and execute a client strategy for existing market penetration.
Provide insight into how the STRYDE global brand strategy can be enhanced for the local market across the Region
Propose innovative approaches and partnerships with clients in order to participate in tenders and develop unsolicited offers.
Work with Marketing to provide local content and customer success stories.
Sell ‘value’ through a Consultative/Support selling approach that proactively proposes innovations and initiatives which enhance a customer’s competitive position/performance.
Identify value differentiators for the Region.
Influence customers and partner business decisions.
Develop relationship with 3rd party / partners to expand business with a customer.
Identify, lead and negotiate deals from end-to-end (from due diligence to contract negotiations and post-deal management) with cross-functional input aligned to business / service strategy.
Build and Develop a strong client base with meaningful relationships at an Executive level in the Region with Operators and Acquisition Contractors.
Build and manage a portfolio of clients, working in partnership with STRYDE’s account managers
Market-map and analyse potential new markets for STRYDE to enter in the Region (especially in the area of mining, geothermal and CCUS), and then define and execute a business development strategy to build a strong client base
Provide exceptional customer service through the lifecycle of the sale, including post-sale support working with internal operations teams to ensure smooth delivery
Act as a brand ambassador — attend conferences, exhibitions and events where you advocate for STRYDE

 

Requirements:

Innovative thinking, disruptive and entrepreneurial thinker.
A strong established network with Operators (both NOCs, IOCs and Independent operators) and Acquisition contractors
Demonstrable background in business development in the land seismic or Oil & Gas industry in the Region – with a strong understanding of the market and technology landscape
Someone who is tenacious, methodical and experienced in closing large complex sales within B2B sales or business development with Oil & Gas and Energy companies.
A strong negotiator – skilled at building relationships and managing complex negotiations with proven experience in closing out company revenue impacting deals.
Exceptional commercial acumen who can creatively adapt sales strategy or negotiation skills throughout the sales process.
Willingness to travel – sometimes at short notice
Any experience with product demonstrations in either the field or an office environment would be a plus
Knowledge of CRM systems is beneficial, but not essential for the role
Speaks fluent Russian and good English
Contacts and / or knowledge of non-oil & gas markets, such as Geothermal, Mining and CCUS would be beneficial, but isn’t essential.
