Purpose of the Role:
- Engages as a business partner for sales and marketing. Contributes to profitable growth by transparently providing analytical support, financial training and financial insights for data-driven decision making to internal stakeholders
- Provides timely and accurate management reporting to all internal and external users. Plays a vital role in developing our capabilities (tools, reports, systems, processes) as a controlling team with a growth mindset
- Ensures that the team has the right mix of skills and competencies in order to leverage the strengths of individual team members and to assure financial excellence towards internal and external stakeholders
Main areas of responsibility:
- Drives and coordinates financial planning and forecasting activities (Budget, S&OP, LE) including consolidation of income statements and cash flow for PVM Russia
- Prepares monthly and quarterly forecasts and annual budget for Russia and CIS
- Engages in commercial business partnering
- Develops financial and analytical models for sales, marketing and support functions
- Monitors budget fulfillment, provides regular variance reporting by type and accounts and advises on performance improvement where required
- Analyses finance KPIs via standard and ad-hoc reporting
- Prepares management reporting by brands, types and channels; plan-fact analysis, factor analysis
- Presents the closing of the reporting period and financial results to senior management and submits the reporting package to PVM Group Management
- Reviews the company’s open commitment from trade spend towards 3rd party customers at month end
- Interacts with Group Controlling and Reporting department
- Responsible for annual external audit
- Acts as a Key user of BI reporting tools and develops these tools further
- Takes an active role in our cross-functional RGM (Revenue Growth Management) team to implement the RGM agenda
- Co-pilots sales and marketing projects and participates in other cross-functional projects
- Effectively leads and manages a team of 6 people
Requirements:
- Degree in finance/economics
- 5 years' experience on relevant position
- FMCG-background is a strong asset
- Budgeting skills (development of budgets at all levels)
- Good understanding of accounting principles, financial statements and cash flow
- Advanced level of knowledge of SAP CO/CO-PA, MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Analytical mindset, ability to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines
- Willingness to learn & curious to deep-dive in order to understand and solve problems
- Fluent English – speaking and writing
- Pro-active with action and result orientation
- Conceptual thinking (end-to-end process perspective)
- High degree of self-organization and detail-orientation
