As the Head of Operations in Russia you will have the unique opportunity to deliver this mission by leading the development of the largest bus marketplace in Russia with BlaBlaCar. We are looking for someone who has the grit, maturity and motivation to give strategic direction to the business line, support and improve the current processes and lead the team within already shaped yet still entrepreneurial journey.
Your Responsibilities Will Consist Of
- contributing to the substantial growth of the bus marketplace through a set of strategic and operational initiatives executed both centrally and regionally, as necessary
- refining and executing business strategy; defining KPIs / OKRs; structuring operational activities, supervising existing business processes and reshaping or building up the new ones when required
- representing the Company in front of the bus market; maintaining existing and building up new relations with market participants and stakeholders, understanding their needs and requirements and helping them achieve them with the help of Busfor and BlaBlaCar products
- helping define the product and engineering strategy; contributing to the roadmap of products for the bus industry
- managing the regionally split business-development team of 20 sales / account managers; motivating, coaching and leveraging existing and new staff to continually up-level their results, expectations, and stretch for increasingly higher levels of impact across all core operational metrics
- reporting to Vice-President, CEE and LATAM, while working closely with senior leadership at headquarter (including BlaBlaCar’s business development, legal, marketing, operations, analytics, product and tech teams) and in the region to ensure the success and well management of the operations
Qualifications
What you will need to be successful:
- 8+ years of experience in operations, management consulting and/or general management
- strong business acumen with capacity to translate high-level business strategy into pragmatic operational direction
- robust experience in managing teams across different offices and/or regions
- strong analytical skills, ability to work with data to define priorities, actionable insights, and present results
- strong communication skills that enables to work closely and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders in an ever-changing, fast pace environment with tight deadlines
- background B2B sales and transportation are a plus
- high-energy, humble, structured, organized and motivated by innovation and constant change
- a good level of fluency in English and opened to travelling frequently, both in Russia and internationally
