А Canadian-based gold mining company Kinross is recruiting a Government Relations Director.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for developing and executing stakeholder relations program in far eastern regions of Russia;
Advise on regulatory landscape as well as on socio-economic programs at the Far East of Russia;
Provide support to Kinross Russia team in the Project development and in future operations in the Khabarovsk Krai;
Maintain and expand stakeholder relations at the regional and municipal levels;
Join and actively participate in regional business associations and government advisory councils;
Organize and administer Kinross’ participation in regional industry trade fairs and conferences;
Coordinate and monitor implementation of socio-economic cooperation with the regional and municipal authorities;
Provide logistical support in arranging and conducting high-level stakeholder meetings.
Education, Experience And Skills
University degree in government administration, politics or macroeconomics preferred, other related disciplines acceptable;
Training in environment, geology and mining is a plus;
3-5 years of formal background in a corporate, state agency or non-government environment, with strong external/government affairs or GR consulting experience;
Excellent understanding of public policy, environmental and state socio-economic programs;
Demonstrates awareness and support of the organization’s objectives and strategy, and communicates this as appropriate;
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in Russian, ability to communicate effectively in English;
Strong analytical and negotiation skills;
Effective interaction in teams, team player.
