LEGO is looking for a talented and performance-driven General Manager who is expected to lead the PUB markets (consisting of Poland, Ukraine and Baltics) to help us achieve our aim to reach millions of children globally with LEGO experiences.
Core Responsibilities:
• Driving the growth of today’s nearly 200 million€ business by catering to the demands of end consumers and shoppers as well as customers across all channels (LEGO Branded Stores, the Toy specialist, retailers, hypermarkets, drug stores, online retailers, distributors etc.) in an environment that is rapidly changing and highly competitive
• Setting the strategic direction for the business, which also entails to translate the Group strategy into PUB-specific sales and marketing strategies incl. tangible implementation activities. However, you must also put a strong focus on leading the operational business – and especially, developing the existing and new customer relationships
• Being responsible for the financial target achievement (sales, cost and profit) in the PUB business unit. You must drive an ambitious growth agenda in markets that are still emerging and at the same time ensure focus on profitability and credit risk
• You will lead the digitalization of the consumer journey and the growth of e-commerce across the business unit
• You will oversee deploying LEGO Groups owned ecosystem, such as LEGO stores and LEGO.com
• You will be managing a dedicated and growing team of about 85 (60 internal + 25 external) people in commercial functions in Warsaw, Kiev and Riga. Key functions reporting to you: Country Managers for Ukraine and Baltics, Channel Heads, Marketing Head, Operation Head, Field Sales and Merchandising Head, as well as Human Resources, Finance and Customer Development heads with functional reporting lines
• General Manager will be a member of the Market Group leadership team, co-managing 100+ markets across geographies such as Africa, Middle East, Central-Eastern Europe and Russia. In that capacity You will be co-responsible for creating the 3-year strategic cycle, being the chairman/driver of various market group wide transformation projects and be accountable of the overall business performance.

On top of these, you are an inspiring, passionate, and engaging individual and leader; an open minded and flexible to adapt to changing circumstances; pragmatic and ready to “roll up the sleeves”.
You should also have:
• A master’s degree in Business Administration or a comparable education
• An in-depth Sales experience in a Consumer Products, Fashion and Lifestyle, FMCG, or Consumer-focused e-Commerce industry environment
• International experience and mentality. Preferably worked with Central European markets before and thrives in a VUCA environment
• Experience in a leadership role for more than 10 years with majority of years as General Manager
• A proven record of developing high-performing organizations in a B2B and B2C environment and experienced in successfully managing change within an organization in the context of a changing channel and marketing landscape
• Proven to be a strong business developer, building and developing client relationships with distributors, specialist retailers as well as with pure e-commerce players. The past business success is grounded on a strong set of commercial skills
• Digital savviness and deeply understands the Digital societal transformation of Consumers, Shoppers and Customers. A strong experience in e-commerce is expected.
