Responsibilities:
- Accounting and reporting
- Implementation of commonly accepted standards (primarily, IFRS) into financial and managerial reporting practices;
- Development of templates, guides and reporting practices for managerial accounting;
- Supervision and review of other (i.e. non-accounting) staff within the business in terms of adequacy of data submitted for accounting purposes;
- Regular reporting to the company management and shareholders based on financial and operational data.
- Liquidity and corporate finance
- Reporting for working capital management;
- Monitoring of financial commitments (related to shareholders, investors, lenders, clients and business partners);
- Supplying relevant data for liquidity-related decisions;
- New business and corporate development initiatives’ support (including sub-franchising).
- Economic return and compliance
- Processing and analyzing data for planning and business forecasting;
- Supporting accurate and timely annual planning, budgeting and analysis;
- Collecting data for proper risk management, tax planning, and cross-border transaction monitoring;
- Supporting the regular review of operational efficiency and compliance.
- Processes and tools
- Assistance in business processes and policies design, implementation and monitoring (including document flow and transactions approval);
- Addressing issues in IT tools in use by the company for reporting purposes;
- Changing reporting and analysis forms and tools (including financial and reporting models and templates);
- Preparing information for the board of directors on the financial impact of business decisions.
Conditions:
- A Financial Controller will report to the board of directors and the shareholders. The primary focus of the Financial Controller would be operations in Russia and overseas operations of Russian offices. Since the execution of the Financial Controller’s role suggests delivery upon requirements through a small and efficient team (up to 2 people – to be hired in the future) of dedicated specialists, a candidate’s willingness and ability to cope with the workload is expected and appreciated.
