Оne of the largest American-owned spirits and wine companies Brown-Forman is currently seeking a Finance Director Russia.
What You Will Do in This Role
This role is first and foremost a leadership role integral to the B-F Russia and the EA & IMEA Finance Leadership teams. The key responsibility is to be a steward of the organization culture, driving a unified purpose across the organization by being an active and collaborative member of both Leadership teams. Pivotal to this role, is the ability to inspire, motivate, empower and develop the Finance team and beyond.
Secondary to this, the role leads, directs, develops and administers the financial activities of B-F Russia, including managing the local Finance team and collaborating closely with the Accounting, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, and HR. As a key member of B-F Russia LT, the role will provide analytical support, advice, counsel and leadership on key business issues to the General Manager. This includes strategy, revenue management, business planning, forecasting, financial controls, business processes, information systems and distribution structures. The role takes ownership for the financial strategies, reporting and analysis and partners with the regional FP&A and corporate functions with a range of accounting, tax, treasury, and financial issues.
What You Can Expect
Finance Leadership
As a key member of the regional Finance Leadership team (FLT), provides input and leadership to influence company’s strategic direction, business and portfolio strategies, conducts special projects as necessary, and reports agreed-upon metrics to team and stakeholders
As a key member of the Russia LT (RLT) provides input to influence strategic objectives enabling B-F Russia’s contribution to the overall 2030 strategy and plans for the EurAsia & IMEA region.
Team Management & Development
Provides strong leadership and direction to local Finance team with 3 direct and 3 indirect reports
Acts as a role model of B-F values and culture (see the end of this document)
Leads a diverse and inclusive culture where different perspectives are encouraged and individuals feel connected and valued
Develops talent to fuel Brown-Forman regionally and globally with ready talent
In collaboration with HR department, identifies the organizational capability gaps and addresses them through appropriate learning and development programs
Supports team development by providing opportunities and coaching to the team with on-going appreciative & constructive feedback
Participates in talent initiatives to build talents for Short & Long-Term, i.e. Talent Review, Performance Growth Planning, Individual Development Plans, Succession Planning, etc.
Engages the team in company’s visions and directions and motivates them to make active contribution
Develops the organizational strategy and evolves organizational design
Develops and encourages strong partnership with corporate support functions (Regional FP&A, Data Science, Revenue Management, Accounting, Supply Chain, Tax and Treasury) and local cross-functional partners
Strategic Planning
Serves as the key advisor to the General Manager and the B-F Russia leadership team by analyzing and interpreting succinctly business results & trends, and recommending strategic initiatives to drive growth in revenue, reduce costs, and grow profit.
Identifies opportunities for sales, profit and margin improvement
Develops and drives analyses to support the long-range planning process with local & regional leadership through the development of comprehensive financial models and a strategic roadmap of “how to achieve the goals”
Participates in and formalizes short and long range planning in areas of possible growth, expansion and new profit opportunities.
