The company Protein Technologies Ingredients Group (“PTI”), which was established in 1996, is engaged in the development, manufacture, and marketing of unique and innovative Savory Solutions (the non-sweet spectrum) that include flavors, seasoning compounds and functional raw materials for the food industry (including unique protein-based ingredients, which are manufactured using advanced technology), with a special emphasis on the processed meat and convenience food industry. PTI was acquired by Frutarom in 2013 and became part of IFF in 2018 with the acquisition of Frutarom by IFF.
The PTI Group operates a production site in Serpukhov, not far from Moscow. The group has around 300 employees in the various disciplines such as sales and marketing, production, R&D and Admin. The office location for this role is Mytischi.

 

Job Description:
PTI is part of the Nourish division of IFF and geographically it is part of Europe. In this role you will be our feet on the ground and will physically be at office in Mytischi. The profile allows for partially remote office once the position is established enough. You will be functionally reporting into the Regional Finance manager Nourish Europe as part of the regional team. The position requires providing strong and insightful financial and analytical support to both local and regional stakeholders from a business partner perspective. As part of the BU finance organization the focus is on topline and (commercial) controllable expenses (RSA) and working capital. Furthermore, you act as point of contact to corporate controlling for questions and insights into the business unit.

What does it mean to be a finance business partner at IFF more specifically: 

  • Be the go-to person and financial business partner for key stakeholders such local sales, local and regional (BU) finance, local Accounting team and Corporate controlling
  • Monitor actual results, follow-up with local departmental managers on variances, and proactively anticipate trends that will impact the monthly and annual results
  • Provide insights on key P&L variances and main profitability drivers: analyze and report on business performance on a monthly and quarterly basis, presenting data in written, tabular, and graphical formats to highlight and explain key issues to management
  • Provide valuable insights into business performance and external drivers to drive decision-making and acts when required as a countervailing power
  • Control expenses and have in-depth controllable expense understanding. Provide an expert resource to analyze expenses in a detailed level (using local IT sources and CFIN), highlighting areas of concern and making recommendations for corrective action
  • Execution and (local) coordination of financial planning activities of budget and forecast according to IFF planning cycles
  • Guarantee the accuracy of internal management reporting and analysis for all RSA expenses for PTI as well as sign off on the accuracy and completeness
  • Constantly seeking for optimizing the overall cost structure of PTI and improve profitability and look out for the financial health of the business unit
  • Involvement in the development of the multi-year capital budgeting plans and follow-up the execution
  • Prepare management reports and analysis for the local and regional finance team, management, and other stakeholders
  • Participate in performance improvement projects as well as other key (group) projects including automation of business procedures in local EPR system
  • Liaise with accounting and controlling on various topics related to the financial accounts and actively support and maintain a strong internal controls framework
  • Actively engage in the management of all elements of Net Working Capital. Prepare and distribute reports and analyses to promote awareness and management of NWC in the Business Unit
  • Monitor agent commission and rebate agreements from a finance perspective
  • Participate in monthly closing procedures including provisions calculation according to IFF policies

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of Business Control/Partner position or Financial and Controlling experience
  • Formal education and/or training in Finance (and Accountancy) and financial reporting experience
  • Advanced Excel skills are mandatory (Excel Power Query)
  • Ability to work with and understand modern reporting tools such as Power BI
  • Works well in teams and is comfortable in a multinational diverse environment
  • Highly developed communication skills and ability to communicate/present financial data to professionals with different backgrounds
  • Fluent in native language and English is essential. Other languages beneficial
  • SAP/Business Warehouse experience is a preferred
  • 1С experience is required
