Educational/Professional Background:
- University degree (Master's Degree) in technical and scientific studies concerning health & safety, environment, or energy and chemistry (such as, health & safety engineering, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, etc.)
- Master in Environment and/or Health & Safety is a plus
- 5-10 years of professional experience in the manufacturing industry or retail business as Health & Safety and/or Environment leading role (Manager/Coordinator/Sr. Specialist)
- Experience in tire related sector is a plus
Main accountabilities:
- Coordinate projects aimed to expand digitalization of EH&S related processes and ensure integration with involved business platforms
- Scout innovation opportunities, activate and coordinate innovation projects aimed to leverage new technologies to apply to the EH&S field
- Investigate internal and external opportunites to enrich the EH&S roadmap with best practices and state-of-the-art initiatives to drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with Environment and H&S leaders to enhance EH&S management systems, identify potential synergies, support the expansion across all businesses and regional entities
- Coordinate the Central EHS governance processes with regards to budget, projects management, KPIs, cultural journey, etc.
- Act as EH&S window for the implementation of new global governance processes aimed to ensure strategies alignment and effective management of relevant issues
- Engage internal and external stakeholders in compliance related projects and coordinate proactively the execution by CFT approach, drive recovery programs with sense of urgency (such as REACH compliance, emissions standards, etc.)
- Consolidate OB/MBP investments related to EHS, provide visibility to leadership drive discussion for alignment and prioritization
- Consolidate and expand management systems to support circular economy road map (such as ISCC+ introduction and future expansion plans)
- Coordinate EH&S qualification activities and periodical re-qualification according to global requirements
- Manage the due diligence EH&S activities within the M&A process of the SBU
- Support the review and deployment of EH&S requirements in the business related contracts with E2E stakeholders
- Benchmark EH&S performances through sustainability reports within tire industry and other relevant businesses
Technical Skills:
- Very good Knowledge of project management tools
- Advanced knowledge of management systems and applicable ISO standards such as ISO45001, ISO14001
- Good knowledge of H&S engineering and Environmental chemistry
- Ability to conduct EH&S assessments according to applicable standards
- Knowledge of European regulatory framework for EH&S
- Continuous improvement capabilities (I.e. six sigma)
- Advanced knowledge of problem solving tools
- Very good knowledge of MS Office
