The function is made up of around 2,000 professionals, working across the Executive and Regions in the following areas of specialism: Brand; Marketing; PR/Media Relations & External Communications; Internal Communications & Employee Engagement; Corporate communications.

BMC also includes a number of teams who are responsible for content development, editorial, webcasts, events-staging, strategy, planning and operations. Through the collective power of BMC, and the other teams and specialists we work with, we aim to build a better working world by driving commercial value through distinctive marketing and communications that deliver measurable market impact.

 

The opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced communications and marketing professional to lead Brand, Marketing and Communications for Talent across EMEIA, alongside a strong focus on global Talent programs and campaigns.

The EMEIA Talent BMC Leader plays a critical role in helping to deliver the exceptional EY experience to our 110,000+ people across Europe, Middle East, India and Africa. You’ll work closely with the EMEIA Managing Partner – Talent and their leadership team, providing strategic comms advice and developing/executing Talent communications and related people engagement programs in alignment with the global Talent agenda and specific Global/EMEIA priorities.

Part of the agile Global Talent BMC team, you’ll also maintain strong, collaborative relationships with the EMEIA Communications & Engagement Leader to embed Talent campaigns and messaging across EMEIA wide communications; and with EMEIA regional C&E Leaders to do the same in their own markets.

The EMEIA Talent BMC Leader will work closely with the Global and EMEIA Talent leadership teams and the Global and EMEIA Operating Executive on Talent communications, coordinating the rollout of key global Talent programs across EMEIA. You’ll also collaborate with media relations and senior leadership at the global and region level, (including the Global and EMEIA Talent Leaders, and members of the Talent leadership team) to execute a proactive external PR strategy to raise awareness of EY’s people brand across Global and EMEIA.

As part of the Global Talent BMC Team, you’ll have responsibility for the strategy, planning and deployment of some of our global Talent communications campaigns.

The role requires an experienced and professional internal and external communications expert. The successful candidate will be required to build strong relationships and collaborate closely with business leaders and communications professionals within the broader BMC team as well as relevant talent, markets and client-serving professionals and external communications professionals.

 

Responsibilities
Function as a leader in both the EMEIA BMC Leadership team and Global Talent BMC leadership team
Produce written internal communications in collaboration with senior stakeholders on critical people engagement topics; provide counsel on best practices and communications innovations
Support the management and deployment of communications at key Talent and firm-wide events and key leadership meetings throughout the year
Support the deployment of firm-wide business messages in Talent communications vehicles
Manage relationships with key Area and Talent stakeholders across the BMC organization and within the business at the Executive level, establishing sponsors and subject matter resources for key communications programs
Work with colleagues to align on strategy and manage consistency in messaging including members of the global BMC Talent team, corporate communications, business enablement, leadership and partner communications, etc.
Filter input from the Region perspective to Area and Global internal communications program development
Provide guidance and input on the development of global communications and engagement programs
Support methods for driving innovation and change across the organization
Take an organizational-level view of implications; manage competing forces and drive understanding, motivation and stakeholder value
Maintain up-to-date knowledge on BMC, internal communications, and talent issues, including market trends and long-term implications for EY’s communications and engagement strategy generally

To qualify for the role you must have
Proven brand, marketing and communications experience in a world-class global organization
Experience leading internal and external people communications across a geography with proven and demonstrable results
Experience managing diverse and virtual high-performance teams
Proven ability to influence and build collaborative relationships with senior-level stakeholders

 

Ideally, you’ll also
Show initiative, coupled with accuracy and attention to detail; demonstrate reliability
Be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Be able to manage several projects concurrently, through excellent time management and organizational skills
Be proactive and comfortable working collaboratively, virtually and independently
Understand EY; effectively navigate EY’s and BMC’s matrix organization to access, inform and engage the right people at the right time
Be prepared to travel to different locations as required.
