Apple has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Legal Counsel to join its Consumer Legal team based in London.
The Legal Counsel will join a talented, diverse and business-oriented group of lawyers that supports transactions with major carriers, retailers, insurance companies and financial institutions in the EMEIA region.
Key Qualifications
5 — 10 years of legal experience in a legal department of an international company or a law firm with strong focus on commercial contracts and projects, ideally in the eCommerce, Telecom, Consumer Electronics, Insurance and/or Financing sector.
Demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements.
Familiarity with competition law matters related to sales, distribution, and marketing. Familiarity with Insurance law is strongly appreciated.
Excellent at building strong relationships, ability to work with clients based in various geographies and comfortable advising senior and executive management.
Thrives at being part of a team and at working cross-functionally.
Excellent communication skills: ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, present and speak-up, influence, convince and confront ideas to get to the right decision.
Creative, good judgement, hard worker, curious, strong attention to details, open-minded and comfortable working in an international diverse environment.
Proficiency in English and ideally in one or more of the following languages: Russian, Arabic, French and/or German.
Some travel required.
The successful candidate will be based in London and will be responsible for:
Supporting Apple’s EMEIA Sales, Operations and AppleCare Business Development team as they sell, market and distribute Apple products and after-sales services.
Manage legal reviews and solutions-based counseling to all levels of management on a wide variety of complex legal and business issues.
Negotiating and drafting complex agreements, distribution and after-sales agreements.
Identifying and mitigating legal risk by implementing appropriate legal controls and compliance policies as needed.
Establishing relationships and collaborating with multiple teams across Apple’s organization to close deals and support regulatory issues.
