Microsoft is looking for an EMEA Investment Controller - Consumer.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Finance Excellence
  • Fully accountable for driving effective and efficient financial processes (Close, forecast, budget) resulting in timely analysis of results, accurate forecast, and aggressive but achievable targets.
  • Not just work within established process but recognizes opportunities to fundamentally improve how we operate and acts as an agent of change, using both formal and informal influence channels to mobilize others.
  • Partner with Product Category & Channel Marketing to realize outcomes across the marketing funnel from awareness to conversion and ensure we are maximizing our investment opportunities, identifying opportunities to shift investments as channels and GTM transform.
  • Partner with the WW Opex Team and RAS team to drive operational efficiencies, coordinate on worldwide projects and influence process improvements across all the key cycles and processes.
  • Ensure teams are aware of and follow corporate policies and compliance needs related to sales and P&L activities.
  • Proven ability to look beyond the numbers. Ability to objectively formulate opinions, see positions from various angles, and ensure a joint learning exchange with all stakeholders.
  • Challenges existing norms while facilitating fully informed decision-making; fearlessly asking the right questions and challenging assumptions.
  • Leverage latest set of tools (Modern BI, predictive analytics) to drive healthy assessment and dialogue around business forecast.
  • Drive clear insights from internal and external metrics and trends and provide clarity and alignment around the story with Regional leadership, both as part of the quarterly/monthly rhythm and ad-hoc where necessary.
  • Able to simplify the complex and inspire through storytelling and excellent communication skills. Provide high-quality narrative of the Area performance all up for executive meetings.
  • Own the Headcount Management process for the Region through all cycles (close, forecast, budget).
  • Drive Growth
  • Manage investments for the Region to include owning the Agility process - challenge ROI, ensure long / short term balance, alignment with strategy. Drive accountability on results including identifying key learnings and how we can scale.
  • Deliver focused insights across the Region to ensure maximum ROI and strategic focus – this can include all Investment buckets (HC, external resources, discount, marketing, Channel incentives). Share learnings of prior investments ROI across the region and drive improvements.
  • Drive/Share/Grow community both at a Region and WW level leveraging learnings/opportunities on investments and best practices.
  • Shape the future
  • Actively contribute and build strong collaboration within diverse and virtual teams. Action oriented and able to build and deliver strong results through others and drive a strong positive culture.
  • Be a deep expert on the business - understand the business strategy and the transformational change being driven and connect that with the investment portfolio and how it might be leveraged, shifted to meet changing needs.
  • Contribute to the team's thinking on how we manage investments to achieve growth and influence upwards to shape our P&L for future business models.
  • Anticipate what future change may mean for the business in terms of investment structures,  compliance, etc. and proactively engage the right teams to explore & address.

 

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of active experience in similar role.
  • Experience in Multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles is recommended.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Ability to drive the transformation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and explain business results.
  • Positive mindset.
  • Experience and comfort presenting to Senior Management.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in complex environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing tasks/priorities.
