Role Purpose

The incumbent is responsible for leading the tendering function in BEEAH Group, assisting the organization to expand across the region, increasing revenue through securing contracts and developing new opportunities in the market. The development, performance and maintenance of the tender process activities of the organisation to obtain maximum efficiency, quality, service and profitability for the organisation

 

Accountabilities

 

  • Design a winning proposal process and Strategy
  • Explore new avenues for company business within the waste management field
  • Identify and develop the Tandeef’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
  • Demonstrate enhancement in business opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for the department/company by generating and seeking out potential new opportunities
  • Monitor competitors and review your employer’s offering in light of competitors developments
  • Lead the proposal development and take responsibility for cross-functional projects from conception to completion
  • Apply project governance processes and ensure project timeline deadlines are met
  • Direct and lead the bid team with the relevant business and waste knowledge to prepare a winning bid whilst taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process
  • Liaise with SMEs and the concerned Departments as part of a structured review programme
  • Plan and coordinate the implementation of business plans and the penetration of new markets
  • Advise for a new alliance by arranging for technical and strategic local partners
  • Develop and execute strategies for obtaining new project opportunities, identifying potential leads in the public sector
  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into an increased business
  • Monitor and track the strategic pursuits
  • Support Commercial team to ensure wining proposals
  • manage, direct and monitor the overall performance of the tender process team to obtain maximum efficiency, quality, service and profitability for the organisation
  • effective liaison, support and assistance between tender process department and rest of organisation
  • maintain and improve mechanisms for obtaining opportunities, surveying and measuring tender process and disseminate feedback to the appropriate internal entities
  • utilize agreed systems to manage the tender process functions, analysis and documenting
  • manage the development of plans for tender process activities to achieve targets
  • developing plans for streamlining tender processes
  • support to all other departments with tender-related issues
  • subject to agreed criteria, recruitment, training, set action and targets, appraise and manage performance, development, coaching and general support of all team members to ensure targets are met
  • reporting (content and format as agreed) on a monthly basis
  • developing plans for team activities to improve strategy
  • assist in the development and preparation of the organisation’s tender process strategy and general business planning
  • set an example for team members of commitment, tender process activities, work ethics and habits and personal character
  • maintain accurate records
  • responsibly use resources and control expenses to meet agreed budgetary controls
  • adhere to all organisation policies and procedures
  • interact and co-operate with all members of the organisation and its suppliers and customers

 

Job Requirements

 

Experience & Qualification

 

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant field
  • Minimum 8-15 years of experience in Waste Management and complex large scale Bids
  • Experience in dealing with the public & private sector
  • Good understanding of tender process management, requirements and dynamics
