About company and the role:
- Joy believes there is always room for making things more joyful. And company is starting with weddings. Is designing a better way to help couples, planners, goers and doers find and enable new workflows and behaviors between everyone involved in the complex task of event planning
- Company is looking for a passionate and empathetic Director of Talent Acquisition to be builder and designer of an inclusive and game-changing Talent and Recruitment Team
- As the first member and leader of Joy’s Talent Acquisition team, you’ll take ownership of creating recruiting processes, strategies, and building out your dream team. You’ll be responsible for both internal and external processes and communications that will help brand Joy as one of the best places to do your best work
- You’re excited to jump into well-funded Series B company that is currently in hyper-growth mode. You’re the right fit if you obsess over talent and get excited about the opportunity to creatively reimagine Recruiting, Candidate Experience and DE&I. You’re excited about helping companies grow from 50 to 200, all while bringing joy to the entire experience
- This position is eligible for remote work
What you'll do:
- Build, Lead, Inspire and Grow a team of Recruiters, Sourcers and Recruiting Coordinators
- Develop and drive a cohesive recruiting strategy (processes, recruiting tech stack, brand, culture and values storytelling, etc)
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs now and goals and over time
- Hands-on recruit for roles varying in seniority
- Partner with hiring managers to create job descriptions
- Design and run efficient interview processes where interviewers receive adequate coaching to create a top-class experience where candidates from different backgrounds feel welcomed
- Ensure all candidates' touch points and interactions with Joy communicate core values
- Design a candidate experience from end to end that creates a sense of allure and FOMO
- Ensure we attract and engage a diverse talent pool and ensure hiring practices are inclusive
- Scale Talent Acquisition Department over time
What you'll need:
- Enjoy the autonomy and creative process of building Talent Acquisition Functions and teams from scratch
- Hand-on Experience recruiting Product & Design roles
- Happy to interchange between IC and Leadership duties
- Excited to work in a hyper-growth startup environment
- Engaging and passionate Talent Influencer
- Align with Joy’s Mission
