The Supply Chain Director is responsible for managing the daily and long-term operation of all logistic operations, including supply chain, production, planning, certification, customs, and other operational functions.

 

Responsibility:

  • Develop and monitor a company’s supply chain strategy and structure. Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards
  • Drawing up logistics forecasts and plans, developing logistics systems and its implementation. Forecast the workload of the logistics department in the company
  • Budget logistics costs, cost-effective allocation and control of the use of funds. Optimize costs throughout the supply chain. Research and seek out the most cost-efficient shipment procedures and methods. Plan and implement supply chain optimization projects. Optimize transport logistics performance using TMS, WMS, YMS systems
  • Effective staff management of the Supply Chain department
  • Effective negotiation with suppliers and service companies as well as organization of feedback from customers
  • In his job consider the environmental impact of the supply chain in order to meet sustainability targets
  • Management of the warehouse complex by the Logistics technology "Lean production"
  • Effective procurement management: (development of procurement plans, coordination of sourcing, control of order placement, analysis of order fulfillment and delivery results)
  • Correct inventory management: (estimate inventory costs and expenses; develop inventory accounting, valuation and modeling methods; coordinate inventory ).Every day control warehouse activities: (costs calculation)
  • Coordination of the warehouse technological process (delivery of material and technical resources and products to warehouses, loading and unloading operations, acceptance-transfer of resources and products to warehouses, ensuring necessary regimes and conditions of their storage in warehouses)
  • Maintaining analytics on inventory, turnover, assortment, costs, quality indicators, performance indicators
  • Optimization of warehouse complex operation using WMS, TMS, YMS systems
  • Control of goods placement and storage efficiency, warehouse space rationality and storage regimes compliance
  • Budgeting, forecasting, reporting on the results of the warehouse logistics

 

Foreign economic activity:  

  • Organization of S&OP (Sales and Operation Planning) - information system for planning sales and operations
  • Control over S&OP, including - in order to get feedback from suppliers in case of possible problems with goods delivery
  • Cooperate with the customs broker and logistics company as well preparation of documents for the customs broker. Resolve problems and requirements with customs and suppliers
  • Verify the accuracy of all documents before submitting them to the customs broker
  • Control interaction with customs authorities and customs operators (customs brokers, temporary storage warehouses, customs carriers)

 

Delivery:

  • Organize transportation of groupage and oversized cargo, as well as intermodal, multimodal, terminal, combined both incoming and also outgoing logistic flows. Including international ones
  • Define suppliers of the logistics services. Conduct necessary negotiations and sign contracts
  • Supervise the fulfillment of obligations under the signed contracts. Provide effective document management
  • Prepare the required reports as well as processing and providing daily information on the arrival of cargo transport

 

Procurement:

  • Develop new and existing relationships with suppliers
  • Maintain a list of goods supplied by the manufacturer and providing timely information on any changes
  • Calculate and place orders from suppliers
  • Receiveе invoices from suppliers of goods
  • All goods supplied must be accompanied by appropriate documentation
  • Solve problems and other important tasks related to the supply of imported goods
  • Determine the need of certification
  • Carry out the necessary procedures for receiving certificates
  • Evaluate and report on KPIs
  • Train and guide employees
  • Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth
  • Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain (e.g. use of trucks, forklifts)

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a supply chain manager or in a similar field
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar field. Ability to manage logistics of all aspects of supply chain to the shipment of finished items
  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes as well as understanding of accounting or finance. Must be able to comprehend legal documents
  • Working experience of relevant software (e.g. SAP MM)
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
