The Director of Sales - Russia & CIS is responsible to implement and execute all sales related activities in his respective market to drive occupancy and revenue to the resort and the Private Island. To achieve set targets through account management and introducing new business opportunities to the property recommending growth efforts, monitoring progress, and ensuring that the resort is competitively positioned within the market place.
Russia & CIS Market includes mainly but not limited, Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
What will you be doing:
As the Director of Sales - Russia & CIS , you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- To implement and execute all sales related activities in your respective market (goals, tactics and actions) to achieve and exceed forecasted revenue figures in Rooms
- To ensure that the Sales activities are aligned with the Sales and Marketing Strategy, and that the Hotel Actions have been implemented where appropriate
- To attend regular departmental meetings
- To prepare and conduct an Annual Strategic Plan, in close cooperation with the Commercial Director, including all sales metrics such as ADR, RN and RRev and any others which will be part of the hotel’s business plan for your respective market
- To prepare and conduct the weekly and monthly sales reporting for your respective market and take appropriate actions when necessary to achieve and exceed monthly/yearly objectives
- To suggest, anticipate and recommend sales strategy facing some low period or unexpected slow pick up
- To create and maintain a database of all accounts – including Delphi system
- To attend major travel, trade and corporate functions to network and promote the hotel
- To follow the established hotel policies and procedures when signing contracts on behalf of the Commercial Department
- To be aware of community, business, political and social factors that may affect the hotel’s financial performance
- To actively participate in sales meetings, developing and adjusting sales account and pricing strategy
- To coordinate and execute acquisition, developments, and retention sales
- To recommend to implement some sales promotions to support sales campaigns
- To entertain existing and potential customers and ensure that other Sales personnel entertain customers based on business priorities
- To assist in creating a high level of exposure for the hotel through direct sales solicitation, telephone contact and written communication
- To work closely with other management personnel in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests
- To keep accurate records and monitor closely all Sales budget expenditures, including trade show, sales call expenses and gifts for your respective market
- Be responsible to include the resort in the most luxury consortia programs. Conduct webinar, monitor contents, launch marketing opportunity to maximize the production and the ROI of each of them

- Luxury Hotel / Resort experience
- Sound computer knowledge including Microsoft Office, Opera and Fusion

- Excellent selling capabilities
- Ability to take initiative
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to these challenges
