Radisson Hotel Group is looking for a Director of Rooms.
The Director of Rooms is responsible to ensure the smooth and efficient running of all operational aspects of Rooms Division related departments (Front office, Housekeeping, Laundry, etc.) and ensuring that the various departments are run according to the standards set for the brand in general and the hotel specifically.
Key Responsibilities of the Director of Rooms:
- Ensures the smooth running of the rooms division department, where all aspects of the guest experience are delivered to the highest levels
- Overseeing the cleanliness of the hotel’s public areas, such as lobbies, hallways, and stairwells, to ensure they meet the standards of the hotel’s brand
- Managing the staff of room attendants who clean guest rooms, including hiring, training, scheduling shifts, monitoring performance, and disciplining employees when necessary
- Ensuring that all guests are greeted warmly at check-in and check-out, in accordance with company standards for customer service
- Reviewing the condition of guest rooms after each cleaning and providing feedback to housekeeping supervisors about any issues that need to be addressed
- Effective management of the Rooms Division expenditures and budgets
- Works proactively to improve guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to guest enquiries and problem resolution
- Prepares and is responsible for the departmental budget, ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled, that productivity and performance levels are attained
