The resorts and hotels are distributed from Canary Islands, Morocco, Malta, Italy, Croatia, Greece, Turkey and Egypt.
For Hotels' Team in Turkey, company is currently looking for a Director of Operation in charge of organizing and overseeing the daily operations of Hotels in Turkey.

 

Your Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating the leadership of the entire day-to-day operations work and in-resort services
  • Leading the Operation teams in Hotels with General Managers, ensuring delivery of all service standards as per Standard Operating Procedures and achieving all KPIs as per yearly set objectives
  • Responsibility in maximizing the occupancy of events and banquettes at the resorts
  • Support to create sales targets and networks with corporate clients, airlines, tourist offices and related fields
  • Contributing to the formulation of annual budgets and their periodic revisions whilst remaining accountable to achieve targets set
  • Through innovation and creativity, continuously improve existing and develop new products, and implementing cost efficient work processes
  • Supporting the Operation teams in negotiating and review maintaining supplier agreements
  • Planning, developing and executing strategies for maximizing on local sales, on specific targets in accordance with the company budget and pro-actively reacting to shortfalls ensuring that budgeted revenue targets are met
  • Playing a key role in collaboration with regional teams to grow portfolio in Turkey and ensure successful opening of new signings and timely implementation of each critical path
  • Leading crisis management proactive planning and ensure teams are prepared to the best of their ability to handle such situations
  • Ensuring all measures are taken to achieve company objective of being the employer of choice
  • Managing and coach the pool of GMs and hotel managers by objectives and conduct timely appraisals and team buildings
  • Proactively driving operational activities and ensuring completion of MP “Service Standard” training for the whole Operation Team
  • Ensuring activities comply with the organizational requirements for quality
  • Ensuring that brand exposure, uniforms and service levels are maintained throughout the Hotels
  • Developing and leveraging internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals
  • Developing and implementing multi-year business and profitable growth strategies for a region to deliver increased market share by managing financial performance, assessing economic factors, demographics trends, and competitive strategy, enhancing the brand and leveraging relationships
  • Training, motivating, coaching, mentoring, and setting an example to direct reports while creating a cultivated management workforce
  • Discussing forecasts and monthly financial statements with hotel directors and works together to find ways to improve this
  • To be in constant exchange with the sales and revenue department and optimizes revenues
  • Optimizes the costs in the hotels
  • Overseeing quality and works on it to continuously improve them
  • Ensuring that Health & Safety standards are met
  • Ensuring that all Company Standards (Minimum Hospitality Requirements, SOP, etc..) are implemented and lived in the hotels
  • Driving and leading all employee engagement activities in the destination

 

Knowledge and experience:
The successful candidate will need to possess:

  • A track record of successful leadership at the most senior management level within an organization of similar size and complexity
  • Deep understanding and experience in the hotel and resort business specifically on the Turkey Resort Hotels
  • A track record of developing and delivering strategies
  • Fluency in Turkey and English, any other language is a plus
  • Operational and strategic acumen whilst being a great team player
  • Demonstrated ability of building (or leading) a strong performance-oriented and target-driven organization that outperformed the market
  • Knowledge and experience of the budgeting, execution, control and reporting cycle
  • Excellent reporting and communication skills whilst being able to manage dynamic teams under pressure
  • Business development skills to create innovative new cultural, leisure and entertainment products
  • Strong hands on leadership capabilities
  • Experience in hotel refurbishments
