Тhe leading independent financial and corporate communications agency EM Advisors is looking for a Director of Investor Relations and Financial Communications.
Your main responsibilities
Managing projects and teams of 4-20 people, work closely with client IR and PR teams to ensure unique 2-in-1 offering of investor relations and public relations advisory
Monitor listing, disclosure and transparency rules applicable to UK and EU listed securities. Prepare memos about significant changes in regulation, consult with regulator, colleagues and clients on any related questions
Drafting financial results disclosure materials for the clients including press release/ briefing book, presentation, CEO and CFO speeches, Q&A, analyst databook, conference call scenario in both English and Russian
Consult on latest trends and best practices in investor relations
Assisting clients in creating IR function from scratch and upgrading existing processes and materials
Developing or upgrading capital markets strategy
Drafting speeches, press releases, letters, memos, internal documents, Q&As in both Russian and English
Preparing presentations, one-pagers, excel supplements
Writing commercial proposals
Organising investor conference calls, site visits, CMDs
Consult on investor relation websites, drafting content and advising on design
Providing regular internal trainings on investor relations, financial reporting, ESG and such
Mentoring two junior specialists
Upload regulatory press releases to RIS and documents to NSM
Translating various communication materials from English into Russian
Speaking at public events about IR and ESG for marketing purposes
Review annual reports, consult on latest trends, draft content
Research specific financial topics and cases like special dividends, bio assets evaluation, hedging, buyback, changing depositary etc.
Assisting in preparing press pitches, media Q&As
Advising on ESG strategy development, drafting communications materials, consulting on engagement with ESG rating agencies
Writing Op-Eds and columns on ESG, corporate finance, IR and other relevant topics to EM’s clients
Preparing monthly activity reports for the clients in Russian
Required skills
10+ years of relevant experience, of which 4-5 years as in-house IR in a large-cap Russian company
Managing and mentoring experience
Master’s degree in economics
CIR qualification from the Investor Relations Society of the United Kingdom
Published articles in scientific journal(s) and European financial media
Working knowledge of MAR and DTR
Fluency in both Russian and English, conversational German
Experienced public speaker (TV is a plus) and speechwriter
Proven knowledge of financial modelling (certificate)
IPO, M&A and strategy development experience
Experienced project manager with track record of working on award-winning communications programmes
Expertise in financial reporting with good knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and RAS
Working knowledge of Bloomberg and Refinitiv terminals
Experience in retrieving data from the Russian Federal State Statistics Service and Bank of Russia websites
Understanding of Russian and Belarusian markets
Experience in most of the following industries: oil&gas, telecoms, metals&mining, real estate, banking, fintech, pulp&paper, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, e-commerce, retail, grids/utilities, hospitality, aquaculture, private equity.
