Autonomous Non-Profit Organization Qatari-Russian Center for Cooperation has opened it’s doors for a Director of Investment and Trade.

 

Key Responsibilities:
Work with the Managing Director of Investment & Trade in Moscow to set and achieve business plans and KPIs related to the Investment and Trade business stream with Qatari and Russian entities, SPIEF 2021 and other projects or opportunities in line with the Moscow headquarters
Support business development and sales activities related to identifying and securing deals between Qatari and Russian businesses and governmental organizations
Establish and build relationships with senior executives at Qatari entities as well with Russian businesses in Qatar and support mutual engagements, determine investment goals and discuss strategies
Actively set up meetings and proactively generate leads and the right contacts as well as follow up and track progress and highlight issues to management to find solutions
Lead and support business missions to Russia and Qatar and relevant events
Ideate and oversee management of relevant events from start to finish according to agreed upon requirements, target audience, budget and objectives
Oversee event preparations, including developing RFPS, sourcing and negotiating with vendors and suppliers and managing the procurement process
Analyze event’s success and generate reports for internal and external stakeholders
Proactively generate leads, develop proposals, follow up and track progress and highlight issues to management and find solutions
Coordinate and support cultural missions to Russia and Qatar and relevant events
Identify relevant entities in both Qatar and Russia to develop and coordinate networking opportunities
Ability to research, be resourceful, work independently and as part of team
Cultivate and liaise with intermediaries and connectors who will assist the team in reaching new customers and opportunities
Offer strategic and locally-oriented advice to the Moscow headquarters on Qatar to facilitate business plans, marketing, and promotion strategies
Manage, facilitate, and provide strategic support to the Moscow headquarters in its development of reports, presentations, quotations, white papers etc. etc. that are required to succeed in Qatar as a business

 

Requirements:
At least 5-7 years of business development / investment banking experience in Qatar
Strong knowledge of Qatari entities (functions, goals, priorities, strategy) and the Qatari business landscape
Good knowledge of trade and investment is a plus
Ability to manage C-Suite relationships
Ability to present expertly
Ability to build new relationships in all sectors of work
Strong spoken and written English, Arabic is a plus
Team player, excellent communication and organizational skills
Driven, proactive and able to work autonomously with little supervision.
