Digital product agency Scalio is looking for a Director of Human Resources.
About The Role:
Company is currently seeking a talented Director of Human Resources to join professional, internationally distributed engineering and product organization. This is a remote full-time position.
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for providing strategic HR partnership that results in an engaged workforce and a more productive business. This role is responsible for and contributes to developing people strategies, overseeing all day-to-day HR activities for the organization, providing HR thought leadership to functional groups and their leadership teams (Engineering, Product, Creative, etc.), developing and executing talent management and change management strategies, and partnering with key staff contributors to deliver results that support Scalio's people strategies.
The Director of HR will be a key business partner to executive leaders notably on Tech and Product teams, and will be capable of leading and managing a generalist Human Resources & Recruiting team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all HR functions and staff
- Engage with organizational Leadership to manage high-level resourcing decisions and hiring plans for Scalio
- Develop and implement Scalio's HR policies, programs, and processes
- Oversee the recruitment of open positions within Scalio; lead Scalio staff by improving and maintaining Scalio's recruiting, testing, and interviewing program
- Counsel managers on candidate selection and recommend process improvements
- Identify staffing and recruiting needs; develop and execute best practices for hiring, talent management, and staff retention
- Maintain clear job descriptions and responsibilities for each role in Scalio's organizational structure
- Monitor and maintain salary expectations for all employees; recommend, plan, and implement pay structure revisions
- Write and distribute surveys, questionnaires, evaluations, and other data-gathering mediums
- Partner proactively with managers and employees to train, retain, and level up a globalized team towards higher performance
- Assist management with employee conflict resolution
- Enforce management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures via written documentation
- Maintain historical human resource records in Scalio's HRIS
- Conduct and analyze candidate interviews, performance reviews, and exit interviews
Ideal candidate has:
- 7+ years overall HR experience in technology or related field
- 3+ years managing HR teams
- Experience building and maintaining an HR department, specifically in a fast-growing, agile tech company
- Experience building globally distributed, cross-functional teams and inspiring collaboration within the organization
- Proven hands-on practical implementation of all HR processes
- Self-motivation with interpersonal, planning and organizing skills
- Strong leadership, influencing, and team-building abilities
- Demonstrated proficiency with business & HRIS applications
- Strong written and verbal English
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or equivalent experience
