В новый отель Amari требуется Director of Food And Beverage.

 

Branded new Amari in Kuda Kurathu, Maldives is seeking professional and experienced candidates to fill the position of Director, Food & Beverage. To coordinate the operation of the various departments within the Food & Beverage Division ensuring consistent quality standards of service and optimal profitability.

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Prepares in close conjunction with the Executive Chef and department heads the F&B section of the business plan and monitors budget versus actual results during the financial year
  • Plans and implements replacement of FF&E and OE in accordance with needs and available budget
  • Ensures banquet, buffet set-ups and banquet function themes are creative and in accordance with the Amari brand image
  • Prepares and implements the hotel’s F&B Marketing Plan
  • Works together with the Executive Chef to ensure menus are cost effective and in accordance with trends and market demands
  • Ensures any changes to an outlet’s décor, menus etc. are in line with the outlet’s concept statement
  • Reviews all F&B outlets covers forecasts and ensures Team Members are scheduled accordingly
  • Ensures all F&B departments operate in accordance with established standards
  • Follows up on all Medailla feedback i.e. service recovery actions, improvement action plans
  • Monitors and controls F&B inventories
  • Assists in the operation when necessary

 

The successful candidate has:

  • Pre-opening experience is an advantage
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in Maldives hotels/resorts
  • Holds and maintains applicable certification requirements for position to include: Food Handlers Awareness CPR and First Aid
  • Extensive experience in restaurant bar banquet catering in room dining and kitchen management required
  • Able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Work well in stressful high pressure situations maintaining composure and objectivity under pressure
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
  • Must be effective at listening to understanding clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions. Have the ability to analyze forecast data and make judgments to ensure proper payroll and production control
  • Knowledge and experience with forecasting budgeting labor management and purchasing to ensure maximum productivity
  • Must be able to complete all applicable forecasting and budgeting in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain a professional working relationship and promote open lines of communication with managers employees and other departments
  • Knowledgeable and aware of local competition and industry trends
