Ostrovok is a travel-tech company that creates platforms for online booking of hotels, air tickets, and other services for both individual travelers and corporate clients and travel agencies. It`s brands: Ostrovok, B2B.Ostrovok, Ostrovok Komandirovki. Company develops projects both in Russia and abroad.
As a Director of Business Finance you will drive financial strategy and oversee financial operations within company.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee Financial Planning and Analysis division, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting
- Implement systems and processes to enhance the efficiency and quality of key deliverables
- Continuously enhance financial models and data structures to align with evolving organizational needs
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to develop annual budgets and strategic financial goals
- Provide regular and ad-hoc reports and recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis
- Lead cross-functional projects with finance and legal components
- Manage project execution, including subsidiary setup and process implementation
- Collaborate with teams to ensure projects meet strategic goals and regulatory requirements
- Mitigate financial and legal risks associated with project execution
- Manage internal reports and external presentations on projects
- Supervise Finance Business Partners supporting business unit management
- Foster strong relationships with business unit leaders to understand financial requirements
- Guide Finance Business Partners in analyzing financial data and suggesting actions
- Oversee business unit budgets and ensure compliance with company policies
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 8 years of finance experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and modeling
- Experience in developing detailed budget models and enhancing existing budgeting processes
- Proven track record of managing cross-functional projects and coordinating finance and legal support
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders
- Strategic thinker capable of analyzing complex financial issues and providing actionable recommendations
- Knowledge of international finance and legal regulations, especially in setting up subsidiaries, is desirable
- Ability to communicate complex issues effectively in simple, impactful mediums such as CEO briefs or memos
