Fintech start-up TransferGo is looking for a Director of Banking Infrastructure.

Banking Infrastructure (B&I) team plays a critical role in building and maintaining the global payments rails and third party relationships that underpin all TransferGo products that address P2P and B2B use cases and everything in between. To ensure company continues to evolve and grow in the most sustainable and fastest ways possible, company is looking for a talented Director of Banking Infrastructure to lead Banking Infrastructure Commercial Team and become a true subject matter expert for organisation.
You’ll report to Simon Moran, Chief Commercial Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with the CCO and other C-Level and Director+ leaders as appropriate to create and execute Banking Infrastructure expansion and maintenance strategy
- Assume end-to-end responsibility for execution of the TransferGo Banking Infrastructure Commercial strategy, including new market expansion and existing partner optimisation
- Develop & maintain a solid understanding of global banking, payments & settlement infrastructure and regulations. Inform TransferGo Consumer & Business growth strategies accordingly
- Deliver strategic partnerships with third parties such as Banks, PSPs and Card Acquirers to enable TransferGo Consumer and Business growth objectives, on time and within budget
- Foster a seamless working partnership with TransferGo’s Product Management Teams (based primarily in Vilnius) responsible for converting Commercial strategy and partnerships into product reality
- Recruit, manage, coach and develop a team of high-performing B&I Relationship Managers based across office locations
- Delegate appropriate responsibilities across the team, prioritise projects based on C-Level and strategic inputs, set & communicate the Banking Infrastructure roadmap for execution
- Personally manage relationships with TransferGo’s most important global partners (including acquirers, card schemes and banks), influencing their own roadmap in favour
- Design and articulate the TransferGo bank infrastructure partner management process, designed to retain and grow business critical vendor relationships with banks, PSPs and other third parties that we rely on for international payments rails
- Anticipate, plan for and manage complex firefighting projects to ensure retention of key banking relationships and minimal disruption to delivery of core banking capabilities across the business
- Work in close partnership across the organisation to facilitate regular KYC / DD / audit processes, support compliance & technical requests; Proactively engage to add features, markets & improve commercials
- Manage relationships with regulators, lawyers, central banks and support TransferGo licensing discussions with detailed information regarding money flow, operational processes etc
- Representing the business in top industry events and gatherings
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in Senior Network Development/Business Development roles, most likely within fintech, financial services or similar fast-moving, high growth environments
- Proven track record of building, managing and growing successful end-to-end international partnerships with major brands/vendors/banks/PSPs across multiple borders and regions (emerging markets experience would be a plus)
- Experience of interacting with regulators and managing licence applications would be a plus
- Hands-on experience in Series B+ startups/scaleups would be an advantage
- Experience in building, managing and coaching agile, high-performing Network Development/Relationship Management teams
- Experience of reporting into C-Level at a startup or an agile corporate
- Solid public speaking skills
- Fluent business English is mandatory. Additional fluent business languages including Lithuanian, Russian, Polish or Ukrainian would be a significant advantage for the right candidate
