This a great opportunity for a seasoned Talent professional with regional experience to move into a global role offering immediate exposure to some of the world’s most dynamic pharma growth markets. International Markets business is a major focus for Astellas with an expansive geography that encompasses Russia, Asia, MEA and LATAM.

 

Purpose & Scope:

  • Define and implement a common global approach to Talent Management, inclusive of leading the global succession planning process for VPs within region and talent management processes for leadership and management levels within region
  • Employs enterprise-wide best practice processes and tools to build strong leadership pipelines for the future to maximize business performance, engagement, retention and sustainability
  • Lead efforts to automate talent management processes through leveraging technology and systems
  • Institute talent analytics to measure the strength of talent, talent pipeline and uncover vulnerabilities to driveongoing talent strategy
  • Work closely with other global practice leads in Learning, Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Diversity and Inclusion to create holistic talent strategies and solutions

 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a common global standard for talent management processes and tools utilized on an enterprise-wide basis
  • Lead the VP+ succession planning process for the Divisions headquartered in the region
  • Deliver a fit-for-purpose approach to talent management for client divisions– including talent reviews, succession planning, assessment and development solutions
  • Design training and communications to engage HRBPs in understanding the talent management approach and equip them with the skills they need to facilitate talent discussions and action strategies with their client groups
  • Assemble a strong set of talent analytics and KPIs to evaluate strength of talent and vulnerabilities to support development of the enterprise-wide talent strategy and to help regions and functions understand their own strengths and vulnerabilities
  • Develop and implement a common global Performance management process
  • Participate in the process to create, implement and sustain a common global performance management process supported by best practices tools and training
  • Define and deploy global practices for organisational design and change management
  • Define the global practices, process and tools for organisation design and change management
  • Leads a team of Talent, Performance and Change Management subject matter experts who customize and implement global policies, processes and practices at a regional level

 

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree or professional qualification (I/O Psychology or Human Resources)
  • Minimum 10 years related experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries
  • At least 5 years managerial or project management experience preferably in the fields of talent management, organization development programs in complex organizations
  • Ability to partner strategically on business issues with clients; effective influencing and consulting skills; politically savvy
  • Proven experience of developing and deploying leading Talent, Performance and Change management practices
  • Proven experience of working in a global matrix organisation
  • Managing cultural sensitivity when leading and managing change in various environment, cultures and organizations
  • Working knowledge of applicable employment laws, labor regulations and other legal requirements
