A provider of financial intelligence and analytical tools Moody’s Analytics is seeking a Director — Eastern Europe Compliance Specialist.
The role
The Financial Crime Compliance Specialist is responsible for advising existing and prospective customers across financial institutions, corporations, government institutions and other segments on critical financial crime know-your-customer compliance and regulatory best practices. The Financial Crime Compliance Specialist will work with relationship managers and AML / KYC domain specialists to address customers’ use cases and facilitate solution architecture leveraging Moody’s Analytics financial crime compliance solution suite. Spe
cifically, there are four areas of activities the Financial Crime Compliance Specialist will be engaged in:
Driving sales and customer engagement : design market outreach strategy (with sales, marketing and product management teams); serve as a trusted advisor to customers; proactively work with prospective clients through the sales process, providing technical assistance and guidance as required; respond to functional and technical queries of RFIs and RFPs; qualify and lead the Proof of Concept (POC) process in the sales cycle.
Industry engagement & thought leadership : develop and maintain industry stakeholder relationships; speak at industry events; publish thought leadership; maintain social media engagement.
Market feedback for product development: translate emerging market themes and regulatory requirements into product requirements to future proof our solutions; identify valuable white space; build business case for product development and improvement.
Internal education: conduct training sessions on customer use cases, our solution set and emerging trends; serve as an informal coach and expert to product consultants, sales professionals and customer success teams.
Geographic Territory
Eastern Europe: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Kosovo¹, the Republic of North Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.
Qualifications
Extensive knowledge of KYC, AML, FCPA, Sanctions etc. regulations with a good sense of best practices in the financial industry.
Currently holder or working towards ICA, ACAMS or ACFCS.
A Moody’s employee at this level would typicall have 7+ years’ of experience in consulting or data/solutions sales within the compliance space.
Fluency in English (essential) and Russian (preferable)
Ability to interact with Senior level stakeholders
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Travel within region required.
