Fender Digital Products is making apps, websites, platforms and tools to compliment the guitars, amps and audio gear that Fender makes. Building on this brand authenticity, Fender is building a digital ecosystem of products and interactive experiences for the new and experienced player alike.
The Fender Digital Product team is innovating the music education landscape with Fender Play, a video-based learning platform for guitar, bass and ukulele. The role of Digital Producer demands a high level of empathetic thinking, innovation, a high bar for quality and design and a mentality of starting with the “Player” and working backwards into experiences and products that make them better holistically.

 

What you'll do:

  • Manage operational day-to-day of digital content that reaches a wide base of users and drive revenue to the business
  • Create and manage an editorial calendar for learning content delivery
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external resources and assets supporting the content strategy
  • Coordinate with product managers, project managers and digital producers to develop and publish content, drive revenue and increase engagement
  • Review and refresh existing curriculum and learning content published across platforms, on social channels and in articles
  • Obsessively track and measure performance of all content being created using data, surveys and user feedback
  • Develop a deep understanding of what drives engagement across products and use those insights to influence digital content and curriculum roadmap

 

What you'll need:

  • 4+ years of consulting, business development, engineering, project management, product management, operations or equivalent experience (high-growth or early-stage start-up experience is a plus)
  • Experience creating consumer-facing content and content-focused apps and websites
  • Must be able to collaborate effectively with multiple diverse roles and personalities
  • Excellent written communication skills, ability to write basic content with actionable headlines, copyediting experience
  • Experience working with social media, marketing savvy
  • Detail-oriented
  • Data entry experience. Great with spreadsheets
  • Technical experience. Fast learner
  • Proven track record of leading initiatives, hitting goals, and succeeding in a team environment
  • A guitar, bass or ukulele player

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working in a studio environment, with talent
  • Technical writing experience
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Experience using Intercom, ZenDesk or similar customer support/messaging applications
  • Experience using Jira, Trello, Basecamp or other project management tools
