Qualifications:
- Degree in Apparel or Fashion Design
- 8+ years experience in Fashion Design
- 4+ years experience in design studio team management w/ cross-functional departments
- Strong knowledge of fabrics, fits for menswear and womenswear
- Excellent leadership skills and ability to lead collaborative teams
- Flexible to meet demands of deadlines
- Ability and experience in handling multiple collections and projects
- Positive and passionate attitude
- Natural problem-solver and works closely with teams to come up with creative solutions
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
Job Description:
- Work under the leadership of the Creative Director and Co-Creative Director to research, develop collections/drops, and initiate creative direction across the full studio team
- Must be comfortable working on all product categories, wovens, jerseys, knits, denim, tailoring, and outerwear
- Ensure that Creative Director's vision and creative direction are being followed and executed across all teams
- Manage the apparel and graphic teams to develop multiple collections and drops each year
- Responsible for managing the cohesiveness of each product category and collection
- Support and help execute tasks/collections/projects with critical details that are urgent to meet department deadlines
- Must have strong communication skills to manage and support the team
- Responsible for handing over tech packs in full detail and following up on each collection's product development in collaboration with the product buying director and sourcing director to ensure the creative vision and range plans are going hand in hand on time
- Responsible for researching new print, trim, and fits
- Attend all fit meetings
- Attend all fabric trade fairs
- Actively participate in managerial and department meetings
- Collaborate with Creative Director and Product Buying Director to work on the range plan
- Collaborate with Sourcing and QCs to ensure the highest quality is met
- Is not afraid to push for innovation
