Mission / Purpose for Deputy Managing Director:

  • Generate and maintain a profitable growth trajectory with full P&L and balance sheet responsibility and build a strong leadership team focused on customer-centric, innovation- and value-based objectives
  • Create, plan, and implement local sales strategy with coordination with MD, and strategic sales and business development initiatives of sales team, in alignment with regional and global sales strategy
  • Achieve & implement sales targets in respect of both budgets, sales efficiency, and profitability
  • Ensure profitable business growth by maximizing market penetration
  • Guarantee high-level satisfaction and strong partnerships for key customers while developing further relationships with existing and new customers
  • Collaborate closely with all internal stakeholders such as product development, marketing, and operations
  • Oversee and participate in quality assessment and performance improvement activities
  • Manage effective operations and ensure agreed services are maintained through efficient business and support functions
  • In alignment with the group's strategy, review and develop a forward-looking growth strategy with clear business development paths including competitive and predictive data analyses
  • To ensure strong execution and progress across business divisions, create transparent objectives and define KPIs
  • Develop and inspire innovation in solution/product specification, technology, and processes and drive product development to achieve lighting technology leadership
  • Drive organizational development including digitalization to further enhance performance by continuous improvement efforts, optimized business processes, and good governance based on the company's values
  • Ensure profitable business growth by maximizing market penetration
  • Guarantee high-level satisfaction and strong partnerships for key customers while developing further relationships with existing and new customers
  • Reconcile the strengthening of overall people engagement with the encouragement to be curious and creative by installing clear yet agile definitions of roles and responsibilities while leveraging entrepreneurial and experimental empowerment
  • In close coordination with group HR, install and promote a strong culture of trust and collaboration and maintain a brand-specific talent development and training plan in alignment with the company's core mission and values
  • Actively collaborate across the group's structure to harvest advantages of scale, cross-selling, and technology/innovation
  • Design and create a common understanding, overall alignment, and strong buy in to the needed change & transformation
  • Act as an ambassador for the group and its core values across the group structure and with all external stakeholders


 
Skills & Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in senior (or general) management positions, best in a sales manufacturing & specification-based sales environment
  • Talented builder of valuable relationships with customers and other stakeholders with deep experience in the sales process for technically complex and sophisticated solutions in a B2B/B2C environment
  • Successful track record in building high-performance senior teams to create success and attract high-caliber talent
  • Deep understanding of customer needs - from an overall market perspective as well as in individual customer dialogues
  • Proven ability to translate the group & company strategy into a strong vision for change and sustainable growth

 

Personality:

  • Proven, entrepreneurial general manager personality with an engaging trust-based leadership style as a role model with self-awareness and empathy, inspiration, encouragement, and empowerment of others
  • Proven leadership skills in developing organizations, teams, and individuals, coupled with outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, adept at building high-performance teams, with a strategic mindset, customer orientation, and demonstrated experience in developing strategies and business plans
  • A degree in engineering (preferably in electronics or mechatronics) or equivalent discipline
  • Fluent in Russian and business fluent in English
  • Confident in the use of MS Office. SAP knowledge is an advantage
  • An out-of-the-box change champion who fosters innovation by promoting creativity, curiosity, and courage
  • Excellent communication and team-building skills with a passion for developing people and a strong ability to empower the second-tier level of leadership
  • Strong commercial acumen - high integrity and strong values - stress resilient - proactive thinker and collaborative team player - strategic talent and structured approach to objectives, strategic execution, and tactical planning
