Deputy Director for Production will be responsible for leading site operations. He is accountable for planning and organizing the production and supply chain activities. He drives and promotes safety and quality, drives continuous manufacturing improvement. Assures and manages customer satisfaction.
GE and Rosneft, Russia’s largest oil company, are partnering on an industrial shipbuilding cluster in Far East, Bolshoi Kamen. This deal brought strategic partnership with Rosneft to a new level by moving into joint manufacturing and expanding the program for localization of advanced oil and gas and marine engineering technologies in the Russian Federation.
GE and Rosneft develop ship-building projects of the Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex in Primorsk region. Partnership between the companies provides construction of a plant for ship steerable thrusters manufacturing as well as an enterprise, producing marine electrotechnical equipment.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Drive operations team towards execution of Business Goals
- Meet plant safety and quality goals
- Executes production according to the appropriate instructions and requirements working in close cooperation with Quality team
- Embraces Lean methodologies to make sure that production matches with customer takt time, mentors employees to develop a continuous improvement culture across the organization
- Owns/influences production budgets to ensure cost of materials as per budget, constant work on potential savings
- Developing expertise in own function. Influences policy and ensures delivery within area of responsibility, linking with other parts of the organization
- Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process
- Leads others to find creative solutions within complex manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Employs sophisticated operational/product management, manufacturing or engineering techniques
- Interaction with adjacent functions needed to solve issues. Has the ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis. Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ in Supply chain, manufacturing and production planning, with significant experience as people leader/operations manager
- Good understanding and experience in various quality roles (quality control, supplier quality assurance, ERP, Quality Management system)
- Experience in international company and participation in a manufacturing greenfield / localization project / product launch will be a significant advantage
- University degree in Engineering is preferred
- First-hand knowledge and experience in shipbuilding / marine industry would be a plus
- Lean- 6 Sigma training is a plus
- Apics certification is a plus
- Fluent Russian and English - mandatory
