Colgate-Palmolive is looking for a Deputy Chief Accountant.

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the work of accountants (8-10 people), define R&Rs, objectives, provide direction, coaching and on-the job training
  • Maintain all accounts payable (AP General Payable, Intercompany, Customs, Advertising & Marketing Payable, GTN, Expense reports, etc.)
  • Coordinate Treasury operation & Cash Flow management
  • Supervise Payroll processing and social taxes calculation
  • Supervise Fixed Assets processing and reporting
  • Ensure full and adequate accounting local and foreign AP and expenses incurred by the Company
  • Ensure accounting records are in compliance with Russian accounting principles, tax legislation, currency control and Company’s GAAP
  • Ensure timely payments to Vendors based on the completeness and sufficiency of primary documents and AP balances reconciliations
  • Follow the changes in RAP, TAX and GAAP accounting principles, currency legislation and internal company policies
  • Contract Review (Accounting, TAX, Currency control, Internal principles / policies / controls)
  • Supervise preparation/prepare necessary reports for monthly / quarterly / year-end closing for both local, tax and management books
  • Coordinate documents and information provision by the group during Desk/Field Tax Audits, Annual external and internal audit processes (SOX, CORP Audit)
  • Support business processes and consult non-financial employees on any subject of financial requirements
  • Play key role in development and supervision of internal policies and procedures, responsible for financial documentation flow within the company
  • Supervise information and accounting system maintenance and upgrade in accordance with the latest changes of accounting, tax regulations and company’s internal requirements

 

Requirements to the candidate:

  • Higher economic education
  • Experience in accounting more than 7 years
  • Managerial experience more than 2 years
  • Experience in ERP systems is preferable
  • Good knowledge of Russian accounting principles and Taxes (AP general and taxation as must, VAT and Profit Tax, related to AP general, Currency control legislation)
  • Good knowledge of statutory requirements for primary documents design
  • Upper-Intermediate English language knowledge
  • Good communication skills, included communication with auditors and SAP support technical staff – foreigners
  • Good Excel
  • Stress resistance, good time-management, ability to make independent decisions
  • Experience in working with large volumes of information, attentiveness, accuracy
