А well-known international pharmaceutical company is looking for a Finance Director for their operations in Kazakhstan.
This position reports to CFO for Russia & CIS based in Moscow and Country GM based in Almaty.
Role Summary:
The Country Finance Director is an effective organizational leader and key member of the senior management team. The role is responsible for the integration of all business performance parameters while providing financial insight to the country or region GM and commercial teams. The role actively contributes and drives sustainable value in the business. Responsible for the commercial finance operation in the country or region, which includes leading and managing the team, managing the financial process in order to ensure those processes and procedures are in accordance with corporate and legislative requirements. The Country Finance Director focus is on key business outcomes, monitoring ongoing business performance and providing frequent and transparent reporting of results to the Senior Leadership Team. The Country Finance Director employs dynamic and responsive approaches to planning and performance management responding to uncertainties of a rapidly changing business environment that affects key business drivers. This role provides oversight of legal entity requirements in the country.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business economics or accounting or equivalent combination of education and related experience
CPA or MBA with emphasis in finance, accounting, or management — strongly preferred
Relevant finance experience in a mid to large corporation
7 years – for small/medium geography
10 years – for large/complex geography, including practical experience as part of a senior leadership team with accountability for financial insights in the strategic planning process.
Adequate knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and US GAAP
Advanced practical experience in financial planning
Adequate knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
Adequate knowledge of compliance and controls — SOX compliance and local financial regulations
Result driven strategic thinker with perfect collaborative and influencing skills
People management and development experience
Adequate IT proficiency
Fluent Russian and English speaking proficiency mandatory.
