Launching this year, RT DE Productions GmbH is a subsidiary of the international media group, RT (formerly Russia Today). The company is looking for a Correspondent.
Your role:
Provide up-to-the-minute information, detailed analysis and relevant context for news stories as they break and unfold
Plan and record interviews with key subjects, posing difficult questions and challenging incomplete answers
Engage collaboratively with the entire news team, from camera operators and technicians to producers, editors and supervisors in the newsroom
Be proactive, positive and flexible in often testing circumstances
Think on your feet and show initiative
Be a trusted face and voice for RT DE, both on screen and on location
Your profile:
A graduate in journalism (or an equivalent subject) with a strong educational background
An experienced Correspondent / Reporter (or similar) with a proven track record over several years, ideally with a globally-recognised media organisation
A committed team player with persuasive communication skills
An organised, yet adaptable, problem-solver
To be successful in this role, you must also:
Feel comfortable using state-of-the-art equipment and be at home in high-spec studios
Be receptive to new methods and formats
Speak German and English to a native or fluent level (knowledge of Russian a bonus)
Be accustomed to travelling for work
