What you will be responsible for:

Daily monitoring of all mandatory CA events for securities in clients’ portfolios. Check the company’s omnibus accounts at Prime Brokers for posting them
Process timely and accurately all mandatory CA events on client’s accounts within operating procedures
Review CA announcements and conduct research leveraging various sources in conjunction with individual comprehension to validate CA information and complete announcements successfully
Timely identify and resolve the discrepancy with incomplete and/or inconsistent information that may risk our clients
Deal with issues impacting stock record and mitigating trading risk during the event’s lifecycle
Cooperate daily with front office divisions, trading desk as well as client representatives
Collaborate with other intra-group CA teams to discuss event and market-specific topics
Ensuring that queries, exceptions, and event reconciliation discrepancies are investigated and resolved
Review and validate CA announcements and input those into the platform for dissemination to clients
Processing voluntary actions, processing clients’ corporate action instructions by the deadline
Reception information about forthcoming shareholder meeting. Receipt client’s instruction and voting in Broadridge’s system ProxyEdge
Telling and submit voluntary redemption/merger elections to Prime Brokers or Transfer Agents
Interface with Paying/Transfer Agents, Vendors, Custodians to obtain CA specifics
Providing tax relief service for clients for US stocks dividends due to Qualified Intermediary (QI) status of the organization
Assistance in the annual formation of the forms submitted by the company to the IRS as QI
Participation in the development of regulations for working with client orders for CA
Maintain a positive working relationship with the clients and drive client service standards for the department
Identifies policy gaps and makes suggestions to support the streamlining of related work processes
Develops a good understanding of products and processes, and industry practices and standards
Effectively prioritize the workload and ensure daily tasks are completed
Development of instructions for internal users and clients
Undertake process and system enhancements to achieve optimum productivity and process efficiency
Participation in improvement projects and contribute to quality growth

 

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

6+ years in Operations demonstrated through work experience
Proven record of working 3+ years on CA events around equities, fixed income, and options
Deep understanding of reorganizations, warrants/rights exercise, tenders, mergers, unit separations, SPACs, liquidations, ADR terminations, optional dividends, etc
Knowledge of DTC’s functionality and CA processing will be a significant advantage
Master’s degree in business, finance, or related field
Deep understanding of US securities market, settlement period of executed trades
Dealing with high-value instructions, ability to work to deadlines and projects within a team environment
Experience in working in a custody environment would be an advantage
Ability to use advanced formulas and pivot tables in MS Excel
