The company is currently seeking for COO to join the Founder and CEO of a company group to launch Crowdfunding business in the Middle East. They are a company currently operating in the Russian Federation and Republic of Kazakhstan and they are planning to expand to Turkey and UAE. You will be situated in UAE.
In this operation role you will have to create from scratch, lead and manage a crowdfunding platform. With many milestones along the way – gaining the license to operate will be the first one. The COO will be responsible for setting the strategy together with Founder/Group CEO and setting the steps towards achieving strategic goals, developing, and implementing plans, and managing the day-to-day operations of the platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gaining license preferably in UAE. Possibility of gaining license in another Middle East country.
- Knowledge about Shariah compliance.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the platform, including goals, objectives, and metrics for success.
- Hire, manage and mentor a team of professionals to achieve goals and objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and investors.
- Provide leadership and direction for the development and execution of marketing and communications strategies.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement of the platform.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- University degree in Economics or Business Administration. MBA degree would be a plus.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in management and leadership roles, with at least 2 years in the crowdfunding industry.
- Deep understanding and experience (at least 2 years) about the legal framework and operational requirements for crowdfunding platform in the Middle East.
- Knowledge about the real estate market in the Middle East are and in Turkey.
- Proven track record of success in setting and achieving strategic goals.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with fundraising and investor relations is a plus.
- Fluent English is a must, Arabic is a big plus.
- Relocation to Middle is preferable. All relocation costs will be covered by the company.
