British American Tobacco Russia is looking for Compliance Legal Counsel.
Key accountabilities:
Provide guidance on managing the compliance procedures and processes: to participate in compliance activities mitigation of compliance risk, financial losses or reputation damages as a result of potential violation of mandatory regulations (laws) or self-regulation (e.g. Standards of Business Conduct); support in management of adaptation, rollout and implementation of Compliance BAT group rules and policies in CAB countries)
Compliance support in CAB countries (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan)
ESG agenda support
Personal data protection management
Anti-Bribery and Corruption procedure and Supply Chain Compliance Procedure support
Business Continuity Management support
SoBC procedure support (Annual sign-off, Conflict of interests clearance, SoBC investigations support)
SoBC annual risks assessment (Human rights, Competition law end etc.)
Control Navigator and BRR support
Trainings preparation and conduction
Organize the processing of personal data in CAB companies, organize work in the sphere of personal data protection from a legal point of view in all areas of the group of companies’ activities
Deal with employee related queries
Coordinate Compliance activities
Drive the development and implementation of compliance communication campaigns
Build effective working relationships with CAB markets team: Heads of Function, line managers and employees
Identify opportunities for streamlining and improving Compliance processes
Essential experience, skills and knowledge:
Higher completed education. Law degree from a state university
5+ years of experience in compliance (full time) in an international law firm/ international corporation. FMCG, Pharma, Alcohol, Tobacco industry would be an advantage
Ability to develop communication campaigns based on current procedures and policies
Skills in developing trainings and organizing training within the company for teams from different countries
Knowledge in Personal Data Protection sphere, ability to develop internal legally prescribed documents and procedures, management of PD protection
Fluent English
Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Collaboration skills
Ability to deal with multiple tasks
MS Office — advanced
Beneficial: knowledge of compliance and data protection for Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus — advantage.
