A FoodTech “plant-based” startup Koko Foods is seeking a CMO.
About the company:
Our mission is to bring people to healthier lives by replacing traditional dairy foods and other harmful sweet products. Currently our flagship product is condensed coconut milk in various flavors, which can replace a lot of “unhealthy” spreads (like dairy condensed milk, Nutella, Jams and other stuff).
We’ve been operating in Russia and CIS since our launch in Sep.2018. By the year 2020 we reached $100.000 in annual revenue, set up our own production line and (just) started our expansion the largest retail chains like “Azbuka Vkusa” in Russia. Eventually, in September we plan to launch in the US with DTC + Retail model. It’s a $22B dollar market
About you:
You will be one of the most important people in the company (up to a co-founder status and ~10-15% equity grant). You will take up all our digital marketing activities and online brand presence, while I’ll be doing the retail and other offline shit.
The most important part here will be our personal synergy and that we’re on the same wavelength.
Have experience working on the US market (preferably in eCommerce and DTC)
Can set up all the infrastructure and you’re sure you can help me grow this business to a unicorn status

What will you do:
As there are almost no direct competitors currently, we’re creating a “new market”. In the beginning we’ll be working with is Influencer and Affiliate marketing + Targeted ads + SMM + email marketing, maybe SMS. SEO most likely won’t work.
