The role of a CTO for the inLocal.Job team.
Their team is creating a start-up inside inDrive that provides a cool job search service for job seekers from all over the world (we are already working in 2 countries, several more are on the way). They are making not just another list of vacancies, but a completely new product for the market, built on the mechanics of tinder and tiktok (video, feed, swipes, recommender system, etc.).
They work for the result and have a charged distributed team, which already now has 2 teams: 1 team lead, 5 frontenders, 2 backenders, 3 testers, 1 ML Specialist.
At the moment, they are completing the MVP stage - they already have real users and customers, and they are moving on to growth. They are looking for a person with a rich technical background who, together with a business owner, will lead startup to success.
What is to be done:
- Rebuild processes, making their transition from MVP to a full-fledged combat project, this applies to both the development and deployment processes, and the management of technical teams
- Develop engineering culture in our startup
- Together with the business, make plans for the technological development of the project and implement them
- Actively participate in the development of technical solutions, help the team implement them
What they expect from a candidate:
- Experience in a similar position or experience as a Technical Lead on a large project
- Understanding how highload services are built and scaled
- Business orientation (we work for results, rely on metrics and numbers)
- High engineering culture
- The ability to defend and convey one's position with reason, both in managerial and technical decisions
It will be a big plus if you:
- Worked on a large project with a large audience
- Have experience with different architectural approaches, understand their capabilities and limitations
- Worked with various DBMS, have experience in designing and implementing systems based on relational and non-relational databases
- Experience with video content
