Sustainability will be the bedrock of every companies strategy in the Future. This is your chance to make a significant impact into rewriting this multinational's strategy. The role will covers all aspects of their approach to sustainability and will be across their global network. The Global Sustainability Director ensures the company evaluates both their current impact on the environment and determines how to increase their sustainable practices in the future ensuring that the organization complies with both local and global regulations regarding the environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to identify and address areas for sustainability improvement
- Preparing proposals, budgets and reports about sustainability for review by the Group CEO, board committee and other key stakeholders
- Research environmental sustainability issues, concerns, or stakeholder interests
- Develop methodologies to assess the viability or success of sustainability initiatives
- Direct sustainability program operations to ensure compliance with environmental or governmental regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or any other field – postgraduate studies a benefit
- 7 -10 years experience within corporate sustainability at a senior management level
- Strong internal and external stakeholder focus
- Proven track record of change management and transformation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
