About the company and the role:
- Company is an established b2b events organizing business in the process or rapid digital transformation aiming to base all tactical and strategic decision on reliable and tested insights from data
- Company is seeking a CDO to be responsible for developing and governing data and information strategy in order to drive business decisions and growth. You will develop data architecture, documentation, procedures and policies, and work closely with various departments to collect, prepare, organize, protect, and analyze data assets while ensuring that the company meets industry best practices. Other duties will include leading inter-disciplinary teams, improving and streamlining data systems within the company, and driving innovation
- First you are going to perform data structure audit. Your main short-term challenges will be developing agile structure and documentation, enhancing quality and growing quantity of datasets. You alongside our Data Engineer and IT department will also be an active participant of developing our DWH, building efficient data flows, and setting up data cleaning algorithms. You will be tasked with creating a system of automated data deduplication and enrichment tool, which is going to allow company to collect large quantities of data from outside sources
- You will be rightful member of the Steering Committee in a senior management position, and your work & ideas will have full support from the company’s management and owners
- The successful candidate will have a proven track record in data management, leadership, and information technology systems and tools. A strong background in IT, business, and statistics is advantageous
Requirements:
- English B2
- Russian C2
- Degree in Data Science/Management of information systems/Data Management
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, MongoDB
- Experience in working with relational databases
- >=2 years of experience as a DB Administrator
- >=2 years of experience as a Data Architect/Data Engineer/Data Scientist
- >=2 years of managing experience (CDO, DB owner, Lead Data Architect)
Responsibilities:
- Perform the audit of data structure and systems
- Develop DB documentation, build agile data structure
- Deduplicate & enrich data
- Be a stakeholder and leading participant of the process designing, developing, and maintaining corporate DWH
- Lead, motivate, and manage Data department team (currently 2 DB Admins, 1 BI systems owner + outsourced personnel) and project teams (Business teams + IT, Data Engineer, CRM team)
- Introduce efficient ways of collecting, storing, processing, managing, improving quality, and protecting data, build an automated data cleaning tool in DWH
- Implement data privacy policies and comply with data protection regulations
- Bring insights based on data where to increase effectiveness, optimize costs and boost revenue
- Effectively communicate the status, value, and importance of data collection to executive members and staff, control the training process of increasing data literacy, actively promote the new culture
- Introduce relevant applications, big data solutions, and tools
