An International Industrial Company is seeking a Chief Accountant who will be responsible for maintaining the legal entity in compliance with local statutory regulations and managing financial processes and performance of the entity.
Essential Responsibilities:
Maintain the legal entity in full compliance with Russian statutory regulations and US GAAP standards
Supervise the quality of accounting services that will be provided to the entity via shared finance services
Ensure accurate and timely operation of all accounting and financial processes: ledgers, accounts payable, accounts receivable, T&L, payroll, inventory, fixed assets, taxes and cash management
Drive and maintain all financial processes including through reconciliation of all accountants in accordance with the corporate standards
Implement and run effective monthly, quarterly, annual closing processes in accordance with local and corporate rules and standards
Review and develop internal controls across all processes
Liaise with external vendors that will be providing services to the entity such as payroll calculation, tax support, etc.
Liaise with internal and external auditors as needed
Work with business leaders and HQ teams to understand business needs in Russian Federation and build, maintain and drive financial and accounting, legal entity management, tax reporting, payroll and other processes in accordance with these needs.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Accounting/Finance/Economics
At least 10 yrs of experience in Accounting/Finance roles in multinational companies
At least 8 yrs of experience in Chief Accountant/Deputy Chief Accountant roles
Strong experience in Russian Statutory accounting and US GAAP standards
Strong experience in tax accounting
Fluent in English and Russian languages
Experience working with finance ERP systems (1C, Oracle)
Must have legal authorization to work in Russian Federation.
